Barry returns to his small apartment and jumps on his bed. He closes his eyes and feels his bed's familiar yet not-so-familiar embrace.
Even though he has spent the last 24 hours running around at super speed, saving people, and fighting a supervillain, he doesn't feel tired at all. In fact, he feels more energetic than ever. As if the lightning inside his body will fuel him with energy for eternity.
Ever since he woke up from his coma, he has not had the time to process everything that has happened till now.
First is his experience chasing something for an eternity, then he opens his eyes and begins experiencing a life he has never lived but at the same time, all the memories inside his head have become a part of him.
Even though he has not lived them, he feels each of those memories as if he has lived them. All the hardships, loss, and happiness have become a part of him.
A perfect fusion of an eternal soul and a powerful body. His eternal soul with unending will and tenacity and his new body with a set of untainted morals and values have created a completely new person.
Someone much better than either of his two different versions.
Everything he has done till now, stepping up to save the people of this city, didn't feel foreign to him at all. Barry believes even without the influence of the memories of this life, he would have made the same choices.
"It feels great to be alive again." Barry opens his eyes and looks at his ceiling, feeling the power coursing through his veins. "And I am now a superhero," Barry says and chuckles excitedly.
Speaking of memories, he remembers someone, someone very important to Barry.
"Should I visit him? Will he notice the change in me? Of course he will. He is my dad... But I need to visit him. After all, I am finally on the path to prove his innocence," Barry says, and gets up from his bed and leaves to meet his dad.

Barry arrives at the visitation room and sits down in front of the glass panel as he waits for his dad's arrival.
His old man finally walks in and sits down behind the glass panel. He looks drained and his spirit burned, locked up inside a prison for 14 years for a crime you didn't commit will do this to you.
But as this man sees his son, the life in his eyes returns. Barry is the only thing giving him the strength to endure this ordeal.
Barry grabs the phone receiver on his side and so does his dad.
"Hey, slugger," his dad says, looking at Barry. He observes his son and feels something has changed in him.
Barry recalls the memories of his dad calling him a slugger.
"You've been calling me that since I was 11," Barry says, making his dad chuckle. "The funny thing is, I got into a fight today. "
"You just got out of a coma. I'm not sure you should be picking fights," Henry says making Barry feel a little guilty.
"Hey... did you win?" he asks. "Yeah, I did," Barry says, smiling, and Henry smiles back, seemingly proud of his boy.
"You seem different," Henry says as his son sitting in front of him feels very different from his past self.
"You noticed..." Barry says looking back at Henry. He doesn't know what to say.
"I am your dad. I might have missed you growing up, but I know you better than anyone else," Henry says.
"That lightning that struck me... I don't know how to explain it, it changed me. I feel as if a certain part of me that has been missing all my life is finally whole again," Barry says.
Henry smiles seeing Barry look happy again.
"Looks like the lightning was a gift in disguise. I like this new Barry, someone who is happy, ready to live life, and be not stuck in one place," Henry says, happy for his son.
"You didn't kill mom. You know I know that, right?" Barry asks. "You believing me is all I need," Henry says
"I think I finally have a way to prove your innocence. I will find whoever or whatever killed Mom and stop them," Barry promises.
"Barry, we've talked about this. It's time to let it go. You have got to stop worrying about me, and live your life," Henry says.
"I will. I missed out on a lot of things ever since Mom died, but I feel different now. I've made some great new friends, I can finally move forward. But that doesn't mean I will give up on finding the man responsible for Mom's death. I promise I will get you out of here," Barry says.
Henry smiles and nods his head. For some reason, he believes his son this time. Barry has promised him many times that he will get him out, but this time, it feels different.
"I love you, son," Henry says.
"... I love you too, Dad," Barry says and places his hand on the glass as tears roll down his eyes. The feelings he is having right now are not fake, as these feelings are what make him real. He wants to get his dad out of prison.

Back at S.T.A.R. Labs, Dr. Harrison Wells is inside his hidden room, back on his legs, as he reads the news headlines.
[Flash saves the world from Crisis] Even the name of the person writing the article is different.
"Why did the future change? What did I do wrong?" Dr. Wells asks himself. Frustrated, he walks back and forth wracking his brain, retracing his steps, but he can't think of anything.
What he doesn't know is that he did nothing. It's just the Omniverse decided to throw a massive wrench in his way.
"Well, it doesn't matter if the future has changed. My plan can still work. I will get back home," Harrison says, as his eyes glow red.
