Another Meta-Human

Barry comes back to S.T.A.R. Labs as the team needs to know about this Meta-Human that can create clones of himself.

And he doesn't come empty-handed. He brings drinks with him as a certain someone is very angry at him.

Barry walks into the cortex and finds Cisco and Dr. Wells talking. "Mr. Allen, what do you have for us?" Dr. Wells asks seeing Barry.

"Coffee," he says lifting the coffee carrier up in the air.

"Ooh, I was just craving for one," Cisco says and takes one from the carrier. Barry hands one over to Dr. Wells. "Thank you, Mr. Allen," he says.

"Where's Caitlin?" Barry asks.

"She is in medbay," Cisco says.

"Let me go get her. I have something for the team," Barry says and leaves. He walks in the medbay and sees Caitlin working on something.

"Hey," he calls for her, getting her attention. Caitlin turns around and looks at Barry before turning away, giving him the cold shoulder.

Barry chuckles and approaches her. "I'm sorry," Barry apologizes.

"Sorry for what? You didn't do anything wrong," Caitlin says snarkily. Barry smiles and takes a seat next to her.

"I am sorry for going behind your back and being careless out there. I was in the wrong doing so, but I promise I will be careful from this very moment," Barry says.

Caitlin turns to look at him. She sees how genuine Barry is being. She can't stay angry at his handsome face.

"I know you worry about me, but these powers I have are not something I can keep to myself. The people of this city need it as much as we do. And with you by my side, we can help a lot of people, and you can keep me safe and stop me from making reckless decisions," Barry says with a smile.

Caitlin can't even pretend to be mad after hearing Barry. She realizes just how much Barry cares for people, even if they are complete strangers. She has never met someone so selfless.

"Here, as an apology," Barry says and hands Caitlin the coffee in his hand. "What's this?" she asks.

"My special blend, I promise you will love it," Barry says smiling cheekily. Caitlin takes a sip of the coffee and looks at Barry, surprised.

"It's delicious," she says smiling.

Barry can't help but be enamored by seeing Caitlin smile. She looks beautiful.

"Like I said, smiling really suits you," Barry says, staring into her eyes.

Caitlin's heart skips a beat hearing Barry's compliment. She gets shy and looks away while brushing her hair behind her ear.

"Ah, I completely forgot. I have something to announce. Dr. Wells and Cisco are waiting for us." Barry remembers why he is here. He got completely distracted by Caitlin.

Barry and Caitlin arrive at the cortex.

"So Mr. Allen, now that the whole team is here, what is it that you want to say?" Dr. Wells asks.

"I found another Meta-Human," Barry says, instantly getting everyone's attention in the room.

"And where did you see this Meta-Human, Mr. Allen?" Dr. Wells asks.

"This morning, there was a robbery at a gun store. I figured out that six men were involved. The same six men tried to rob the people at Central City University this afternoon," Barry says.

"Tried?" Caitlin asks.

"Yes, I managed to knock them all out before they even knew what hit them and when I unmasked them, they were all the same man," Barry says.

"The same man, like clones?" Cisco asks.

"Yes, all of them had the exact same face, and then the clone bodies decomposed in an instant, turning into dust," Barry says.

"There was also a seventh one, I believe, to be the prime. He must have fled as soon as he felt the other six get knocked out.

"Do you know who this man is?" Dr. Wells asks.

"Not yet, but soon, I have collected all the necessary evidence to identify the man," Barry says.

"Then you should get to identifying this man, Mr. Allen," Dr. Wells says.

"Will do," Barry says and is about to leave when Dr. Wells stops him. "Wait, Mr. Allen," Barry stops and looks at him.

"How are you feeling recently?" Dr. Wells asks.

"Never felt better," Barry says.

"Have you been experiencing any dizzy spells?" Wells asks.

"None," Barry says shaking his head.

"Hmm, Caitlin, Cisco, get the treadmill ready. I want to run some tests," Dr. Wells says.

"Is there really a need? I feel better than fine," Barry says.

"You have been using your powers a lot, Mr. Allen. I just want to make sure that everything is fine with you. It's better to always exercise caution," Dr. Wells says.

"We're all set," Cisco says walking up to Barry as he is looking at boxes of cardboard placed on top of each other. "A little padding. Just in case," Cisco says and walks into the observation area.

Barry climes up the large treadmill wondering if it can handle his speed. "You're sure about this, Cisco?" Barry asks.

"Most home treadmills have a maximum speed of about 12 miles per hour. This one has been Ciscoed. Trust Me. It can handle your speed," he says, assuring Barry.

"Okay," Barry gives the signal, and the treadmill starts moving.

Barry matches its pace, and soon his body is moving at extreme speed. The treadmill is holding up, just like Cisco said.

"Heart rate, blood pressure, nerve conduction all normal," Caitlin says seeing the readings. "For Barry," Dr. Wells adds.

"Brainwave function within standard limits," Caitlin says.

"Hehe, I told you, the treadmill could take it," Cisco says, proud of his invention.

"Caitlin, what about his glucose levels?" Dr. Wells asks.

"It looks normal," Caitlin says. "Hmm, that's it, Mr. Allen," Dr. Wells stops the test. Barry slows down, gets off the treadmill, and walks out.

"So find anything?" Barry asks.

"You are doing just fine, Mr. Allen, but tell me, how much have you been eating recently?" Dr. Wells asks.

"The same amount as usual, though I never feel hungry or full no matter how much or less I eat," Barry says.

"I see. You should now focus on figuring out who this Meta-Human is, Mr. Allen," Dr. Wells says.

"Getting right to it," Barry says.
