"I still have to work tonight," Asuriel said to Vaerion as they got into his car. "So, please don't keep me busy all day. I'm tired and want a nap."
"Good thing you earned us time by sleeping in your uniform," Vaerion smirked. "Now, you don't have to go back and change."
Asuriel looked down at herself and frowned. "…so I did."
Vaerion's expression and tone were calm and unreadable. "Why did you go to bed like that?"
"I don't remember. I was drained and chatted with Lysander," she answered honestly, "but the next thing I remember is waking up in my bed in my uniform."
"Ahh…" Vaerion shifted the car into gear, looked at her with an amused twinkle in his eye, and said sarcastically, "He didn't want to help you change. What a gentleman."
"He's always been a gentleman," Asuriel agreed, despite Vaerion's derisive statement.
