The Noctis Citadel was a monolith of raw, unadulterated aether.
It was the heart of infernal power – a fortress carved into the very core of the Infernal Depths. It was ancient, steeped in blood and fire, and home to the highest devils, noble bloodlines… and, most importantly, the Infernal Court.
The building was colossal, built from obsidian-black stone that swallowed the surrounding light. From it, jagged spires pierced the sky, like claws reaching toward the heavens in mockery. Chains of molten metal draped between the towers, ancient relics of a past war – some say they once bound celestial beings to the Citadel itself.
Vaerion stood at the Citadel's grand entrance, more commonly referred to as the Maw of Hell, with a disgusted grimace as he looked up. This putrid place he was forced to call 'home' was somewhere far more akin to a prison, and if it were up to him – he wouldn't have come back to visit.
