Dawn trudged through the corridors of the Elyrian Academy, his footsteps echoing off the walls. He had been given a map of the academy, but he still found himself getting lost in the maze of corridors and stairways.
As he walked, Dawn couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. The academy was vast and imposing, with towering spires and grand architecture that seemed to loom over him. He felt small and insignificant, a tiny cog in a much larger machine.
FLASH BACK
After following Elian and Ryker through a maze of corridors like labyrinth they finally arrived in front of a office, he was asked to take a seat at a bench in front of the office. Finally alone Dawn thought of what had transpired for the past few days l, from the destruction of his shelter to meeting Ryker in the hospital to coming to the school and being finally enrolled. "Am I really doing this". Being alone he started having second thought "but I am really alone, I have nowhere to go to all the people I knew are dead". Sighing he closed his eyes as he faced the celling.
"Dawn come in". Hearing Elian voice he mustered up his courage as he open the double doors of the office- no wait, it was a large hall with staffs busy carrying out their duties, he quickly scanned the hall before he saw Ryker not too far from him. He walked briskly towards their direction, upon arrival he was given a map and a bag. And was told to follow the markings on the map to his room and class, he wanted to say something but seeing the tence expression on their face her decided against turning around he walked out to through the doors walking he tried to decipher the map in his hand before hearing the voice of Ryker behind him. Turning around he was met with Ryker tense face
"Dawn a piece of advice, try to identify ou emotions behind an emotion, be it anger or the likes. But make sure to always hie you true feelings from people and even your comrades, only open up to people you truly trust." Before he could respond Ryker intruded " consider it an advice that could save your life". Turning he went back to the hall
FLASBACK ENDS
"I wonder what he met by that." Dawn thought back to Ryker last words. Finally, after what felt like an eternity, Dawn arrived at his dormitory. He pushed open the door and stepped inside, his eyes scanning the room.
The dormitory was small but comfortable, with a single bed, a desk, and a wardrobe. There was also a small window that looked out over the academy's grounds.
Dawn dropped his bag onto the floor and collapsed onto the bed, feeling exhausted. He lay there for a few moments, staring up at the ceiling and trying to process everything that had happened. As he drifted to sleep.
The next morning, Dawn woke up feeling a little more refreshed. He got dressed and made his way to the academy's dining hall, where he met up with some of his classmates.
His breakfast consisted of pancakes and tea "my goodness what sought of heavenly food is this." Thought Dawn with his mouth full from pancakes which to say was his first time ea
After breakfast, Dawn made his way to his first class. He had been given a schedule, but he was still a little unsure of where he was going.
As he walked, Dawn noticed that the corridors were bustling with students. Everyone seemed to know where they were going, and Dawn felt a little like an outsider.
Finally, after a few minutes of walking, Dawn arrived at his classroom. He pushed open the door and stepped inside, his eyes scanning the room.
The classroom was large and well-equipped, with rows of desks and a large blackboard at the front. There was also a large window that looked out over the academy's grounds.
Dawn's eyes landed on the teacher, a tall, imposing figure with a stern expression. They was something about the class that seems off, the class whole countenance was a bit off but he could put his finger on it.
"Welcome, students," Professor Orion said, his voice booming across the room. "I am Professor Orion, most of you already as for the new comers you all know my name now."
Dawn felt a surge of excitement as he took his seat. Ever since he arrived he was always afraid of being the only the new comer but itsseems his worry was abit unfounded.
"I will be beginning the lecture now." Mr. Orion booming voice filled the class as he began by addressing the new comers " as you all known we have covered a lot of topic so I advice that after clas you all visit the library for information" he scanned us with his gaze as he continued "so try you best to follow us and ask questions in case you don't understand." Receiving an affirmative response he nodded before saying "so I know for certain that he all know the order of ascending."
"No." Dawn responded, but then the whole class froze he could feel the air suddenly filled with tension as he looked at his classmates all including the teacher looking back at him. It was then he knew he fucked up
