'Me and my big mouth', looking at the students who were in turn staring back at him with varying expressions he could feel a headache brewing. Where are they looking at him, judging by their varying expressions and when Ryker ealier passionately was proclaiming that he had ascended to the VIRGO RANK he could already guess that it was common knowledge. Looking towards Mr. Orion who was struck speechless.
Mr. Orion's expression turned stern, his eyes narrowing before his expression softened as if remembering something he muttered only he could hear.
Suddenly the class erupted into a chorus of criticism, with students calling out, "How do you not know that?" and "That's basic knowledge!" Dawn's face turned bright red as he slunk down in his seat, trying to avoid the attention.
Mr. Orion held up his hands, with a stern expression "Okay, okay, settle down! Let's not be too hard on Dawn. After all, we've all had our moments of... um, 'enlightenment'."
The class chuckled, and Mr. Orion cleared his throat.
"Alright, so it seems we need a refresher course. The order of ascending I'm referring to is, of course, the . Who can tell me our order of ascending?"
A student in the front row, Aria, raised her hand. "Aurora,Lumina,Solaria,Aetheria?"
Mr. Orion beamed with pride. "That's absolutely right, Aria! The soul diary developed the ascending system to help use navigate the power levels in this realm.
Mr. Orion began to pace around the room, his eyes shining with enthusiasm.
As Mr. Orion continued to explain the characteristics of each rank, he wrote them on the blackboard in order:
Aurora,Lumina,Solaria,Aetheria,Celestia.
"And there you have it, class! The order of ascending. I hope this refresher course has been helpful. And also remember, his voice becoming serious as he swept his gaze across the class before saying "Remember this isn't the end of the ascending rank, but it's better to leave that information for now".
The room fell silent once more, the only sound the heavy breathing of the students. Dawn's eyes were fixed on Mr. Orion, his expression was one who was lost in thought. The class although tense responded positively.
As the lesson drew to a close, Mr. Orion smiled at the class. "Well, I hope you all have a better understanding now. And remember, it's always okay to ask questions – even if you think you should already know the answer!"
The class chuckled, and Dawn smiled, feeling a bit more at ease.
Mr. Orion finished explaining the order of ranking, his eyes scanning the room to ensure that everyone was paying attention. Dawn, still looking a bit overwhelmed, nodded eagerly as Mr. Orion concluded his explanation.
"Alright, class," Mr. Orion said, his voice a bit more relaxed now that the lesson was over. "I think that's enough for today. New students, I urge you to head to the library and get familiar with the curriculum. We have a lot to cover in the next three months, and I expect you all to be up to speed quickly."
As they packed up their things and headed out of the classroom, Mr. Orion called out, "And don't forget, class – the stars are always guiding us. Mr. Orion handed out a few sheets of paper with the curriculum outline and some additional reading materials.
"Remember, the library is open until 5 pm every day," Mr. Orion said. "I expect to see you all there, studying hard and getting familiar with the material. Any questions?"
The class was quiet, with no one raising their hand. Mr. Orion nodded, a small smile on his face.
"Good. Then I'll see you all tomorrow. Dismissed."
The class began to file out of the room, chatting quietly among themselves. Dawn, still looking a bit lost, approached Mr. Orion's desk.
"Excuse me, Mr. Orion?" Dawn said, his voice hesitant.
"Yes, Dawn?" Mr. Orion replied, looking up from the papers on his desk.
"I was just wondering... where is the library?" Dawn asked, his face flushing with embarrassment. He had left his map back in his dormitory.
Mr. Orion chuckled, a warm smile on his face. "Ah, don't worry, Dawn. It's an easy mistake to make. The library is just down the hall, second door on your left. You can't miss it."
Dawn nodded, looking relieved. "Thanks, Mr. Orion."
Mr. Orion nodded, his expression serious once again. "Remember, Dawn, you have a lot to catch up on. I expect to see you in the library every day, studying hard and getting familiar with the material."
Dawn nodded, his eyes wide with determination. "I will, Mr. Orion. I promise."
