Noah's grip on Noelle's wrist was firm as he dragged her out of the crumbling ruins of the Silver Moon palace. The night air was crisp, but it did nothing to cool the heat of her anger. She wrenched her arm free, spinning around to face him, her breath coming in sharp gasps.

"What the hell is your problem?" she snapped.

Noah's emerald eyes burned with fury. "My problem? My problem is that you're playing a dangerous game, pretending to be someone you're not!"

Noelle's hands clenched into fists. "I'm not pretending! You saw what happened in there. The crown recognized me!"

Noah took a step closer, his presence overwhelming. "Magic can be manipulated. You might have royal blood, but that doesn't make you the Luna Queen." His voice was low, sharp as a blade.

 "Tell me, Noelle, what do you hope to gain from this? Power? Wealth? The throne?"
