"Circumstances are the rulers of the weak; they are but the instruments of the wise. There are no extraordinary men... just extraordinary circumstances that ordinary men are forced to deal with. Whatever life we have experienced, if we can tell our story to someone who listens, we find it easier to deal with our circumstances." -Unknown-

From the shadows, A young woman stepped out into the light. Her steps were so quiet. I would have never known she was coming if I hadn't been looking at her. With that, I used a skill.
[You have cast Analyze Lv 4]
[Race: Human Level: 10]
We won't be able to win if she decided to fight us. We were all weakened, so I took a deep breath and looked at the young woman. Her hair is a mousy brown, almost light enough to be a dirty blonde. I frame her face and notice how her clothes are cut and torn. The most eye-catching thing about her wasn't her disheveled clothes and hair, and neither was it because of her look, possibly lack of food, and dirt-smudged face. It was her eyes that stood out. Most people I have seen had a dead look in their eyes since the beginning of the trial, but she had a rare look.
Her amber-brown eyes shone, glowing brightly as she looked to survive and thrive shone brightly in her eyes. As well as a glint of hope. Before I could speak again, she said, her eyes moving to me to Arnold, who was still unconscious, and Charles, her eyes shining with curiosity at the slight glow of Charles using his healing ability.
"Is he alright?"
Her voice is soft, making her youth even more apparent. She gripped her sleeve nervously. The robe would have made her class more evident if it hadn't been for her magic earlier.
"He should be fine as long as he wakes."
Charles was the one who answered, looking up from Arnold. Her tense body relaxed in relief.
"Thats good. I'm sorry i didn't help sooner, though."
Guilt crossed her face as she blamed herself for some odd reason.
"No, you helped us; if it wasn't for you, one, if not all of us, would have died."
This time, Clara spoke and was the first person to walk over to the young woman and hold out her hand.
"And thank you for saving us."
The young woman held out her hand, the cuts and wounds on her hands revealing her hardships. Clara seemed saddened by how her hands were less worn than the woman in front of her. This time, I opened my mouth and spoke.
"As she said, thank you. Not only did you save our lives, but we can still fight to protect others thanks to you. We bit off more than we could chew, and we must be more careful about what we do in the future."
The young woman perked up at one word I said and looked at me, moving over to me still so quietly I would believe she was floating if not for the fact that her steps were visible.
"Others?"
Her hands were trembling, and almost everyone could tell she was under a lot more pressure than what she was expressing on her face.
"Yes, we will return to the camp once Arnold is conscious. We just wanted to know if you want anything from the corpse of the beast since you were the one who did the most damage, and you did save us."
She turned to look at the curled-deceased spider before shaking her head. She spoke softly.
"It has no alchemical or medical uses that I know of. I also have no idea what I could get out of it. It was your enemy, not mine."
I felt shocked at her response. How does she know about what uses it has?
"How do you know what uses it has?"
Chris asked her before I could open my mouth, although now I think about it. Asking that may not have been polite.
"Oh, I suppose with your low level, you probably don't have Analyze that high. Although mine probably isn't that much higher than yours. Analyze is at level ten. It had been updated around level five for medical and alchemical uses. I haven't looked at the new update. I only just reached level ten, and all I've been doing is focusing on levels."
Realizing she was rambling, her ears flushed red in embarrassment.
"Sorry, your group is the first time I've interacted with others since... the trial began."
I couldn't help but feel bad for this child. Although I am young for a dwarf, she is barely half my age in terms of her looks, and she has been struggling alone.
"We understand."
