Chapter 53: GTA

Jin walked through the streets of Seoul, his hands casually tucked into the pockets of his oversized hoodie. The morning air was crisp, the sounds of the city filling his ears, but his mind was elsewhere.

'The system said my body's laws changed to match Lookism's… but I don't feel weaker.'

His steps were steady as he moved, occasionally glancing at the reflections in shop windows. His height had definitely decreased, his younger features were apparent, but apart from that, his body felt just as strong. The flow of his movements, the weight of his steps, everything remained sharp.

Deciding to confirm, he opened his system panel.

'No changes… The only difference is my body's proportions, but my stats didn't drop at all. That's reassuring.'

Satisfied, he closed the panel and navigated to the skill shop. If the system had adjusted him to fit the Lookism world's laws, there was a chance new skills had been added.

As the interface loaded, his eyes scanned the panel. Most of it empty, but one in the passive section caught his attention.

---

Circulation of Light: 5,000 Credits

---

Jin's gaze lingered on the skill for a moment. 'This is… the same as in the manhwa.'

Without hesitation, he purchased it, watching as his credits dropped to 9,500.

Immediately, a new panel appeared, displaying the description of his newly acquired ability.

---

[CIRCULATION OF LIGHT] (Passive Skill)

Mana Needed: -

Effect: All [ABNORMAL CONDITIONS], excluding diseases and physical injuries, are immediately nullified.

---

Jin exhaled through his nose. 'This is useful. If it works the same way, I won't have to worry about things like poison, nerve attacks or mind-altering effects.'

He dismissed the panel and continued walking. Now that he had confirmed his stats and gained a new skill, the next step was deciding how to learn from gun's kyokushin karate.

Jin barely had time to take another step before a new system panel materialized in front of him.

---

[QUEST: GET ARRESTED]

Objective: Infiltrate the juvenile detention center.

---

He stopped walking, glancing at his reflection in a nearby store window before shifting his gaze back to the quest. His mind immediately connected the dots.

'So that's how it is…'

Jin's fingers tapped idly against his pocket as he considered the timing of his arrival in this world. If he was correct, this was when Gapryong Kim found Gun after he had escaped to South Korea. The boy had barely survived his run from Shintaro Yamazaki, and his mother had sent him away to keep him from being executed.

'Gapryong must have placed Gun in juvie to both protect him and forge him into the man he later became.' Jin narrowed his eyes. 'That means the system wants me to enter that same environment, to train alongside him.'

It made sense. If he wanted to learn Gun's Kyokushin Karate, the best way was to experience it firsthand, directly from the source. Gun's martial evolution didn't start when he became a bodyguard, it started long before, and the prison is just one of his core moments.

Jin scratched his chin, pondering. 'So I need to get arrested… but how?'

Fighting on the streets was an obvious choice, but he needed to be careful. A simple brawl wouldn't guarantee he'd end up in juvenile detention. He had to make sure it wasn't a normal police holding cell or adult prison. It had to be the right place, the same place where Gapryong had Gun sent.

His mind worked through the options as he continued walking, the early morning bustle of Seoul moving around him. If he was going to do this, he needed to ensure he got caught for the right type of crime… and by the right people.

....

Jin walked into a hardware store, his expression relaxed as he casually browsed the aisles. The best way to ensure he got sent to the right juvenile center was to cause a scene big enough that the police wouldn't just let him off with a warning. And what better way to do that than robbing a bank?

'Let's play GTA.'

His fingers traced over different tools before he stopped in front of a rack of hammers. He picked one up, feeling its weight in his palm. It was a sturdy piece, solid enough to break through glass but not excessive enough to cause unnecessary damage. He wasn't here to actually harm anyone, just to make sure he got arrested in the right place.

He headed toward the counter, where the cashier, an older man with glasses, barely gave him a glance. Even though Jin was clearly younger than most customers, a kid buying a hammer wasn't exactly suspicious.

"That'll be 15,000 won."

Jin paid with the wallet that had come with him and grabbed the bag, walking out without a second thought. The plan was simple, get in, make a mess, and get caught.

As he stepped back onto the street, he adjusted his hoodie and made his way toward a bank near the well-known juvenile detention center famous for taking in troublemakers. His lips curled into a small smile.

But then he suddenly halted mid-step, glancing down at the flimsy plastic bag the cashier had given him. 'This thing isn't gonna hold money…'

If he was going to rob a bank, even if the main goal was getting arrested, he still wanted to test if he could escape with the cash or at least hide it somewhere. That meant he needed something better, something fit for a proper heist.

Turning on his heel, he walked back into the store. The cashier, who was just about to relax, frowned as he saw Jin returning.

Jin didn't say much. He went straight to the section with backpacks and grabbed a large black duffel bag. He gave it a quick shake, testing the space inside before nodding to himself. 'Robbery bag acquired.'

Before heading to the counter, he picked up a few more tools, a crowbar, some duct tape, and a pair of gloves. The cashier's eyes narrowed slightly, but he still said nothing. He just rang up the items, occasionally glancing at Jin as if trying to figure out what a kid could possibly need this stuff for.

"That'll be 55,000 won."

Jin paid without hesitation, took his new "robbery kit." and stepped outside. This time, he didn't return.

Next stop, the bank.

....

(Random bank receptionist Pov:)

It was an ordinary day. I was attending to a middle-aged man who was fidgeting nervously as he filled out a deposit slip when a young kid strolled through the doors, dragging a black duffel bag behind him. At first glance, he looked like any other teenager, maybe waiting for a parent or running an errand. I barely paid him any attention.

Then, out of nowhere, he screamed, "PUT YOUR HANDS UP, THIS IS A FUCKIN' ROBBERY!"

I froze, my pen slipping from my fingers. He wasn't holding a gun, no, it was a banana, pointed right at us as if it were the deadliest weapon in the world. There was a split second of silence, and then… everyone burst into laughter.

I couldn't help it. It was just too absurd. A kid, no older than fourteen or fifteen, robbing a bank with a piece of fruit? Even Mr. Kang, our security guard, chuckled as he approached the kid with a bemused expression.

"Alright, kid, that's enough. It's not time for jokes-"

Before anyone could blink, the kid grabbed Mr. Kang by the collar. With an ease that was downright alarming, he lifted the grown man into the air and hurled him into one of the soft waiting chairs.

My jaw dropped. So did everyone else's. The laughter died in an instant, replaced by stunned silence. Mr. Kang was unhurt, but the sight of a security guard, a grown man, being tossed around like a rag doll by a teenager made it clear that this was no joke.

The kid planted himself in the center of the bank, chest puffed out, eyes wide with what looked like… excitement? "I'M NOT JOKING! I'M A EVIL ROBBER, MUHAHAHAHA!"

He sprinted toward the back of the building, heading straight for the safe. The situation shifted from absurd to serious in a heartbeat, and my hand reached under the counter, trembling slightly as I pressed the hidden button that alerted the authorities. My pulse raced, and I could hear hushed gasps from the customers who had witnessed everything.

What on earth was going on? This kid was like something out of a comic book, an absurd, reckless, and very real threat. We just had to wait and see how this chaos would unfold.
