"The ball?" She asked. "What ball?"
"The one in honor of the king's death." the Servant girl said.
"The crown prince wants you ready as soon as possible." she said holding the dress up.
It was a long beautiful ball gown.
The top half was crafted from a rich, matte purple velvet, its luxurious texture evoking sophistication. In striking contrast, the bottom half flowed in a delicate, light pink silk, adding a touch of whimsy and romance.
She didn't know who this designer was and how they managed to make the colors and material work together, but they blended in perfectly.
"We need to make sure I got the right size." The lady beside the servant girl said. "There wasn't much time to take measurements." She shrugged.
Iris stared at her, wide eyed. "You made this dress?" She couldn't hide her surprise.
Leaving the tub, she wrapped a towel and stood for the fitting.
"I can work under pressure," the seamstress smiled.
