Tryphon watched her break into a million pieces a million times over again.

"The gem?" She asked, staring directly into his eyes.

"You don't know the importance of this little stone on your neck, do you?" he raised a brow.

"You don't know how many people would kill to have it, and how much havoc it can cause?"

Her eyes sharply flew to the pendant on her neck.

She touched it lightly, as if trying to decide whether to believe what he was saying or not.

"I can't have it out of my sight." He added.

He shouldn't be telling her this. How important and at the same time, dangerous the stone was. But since he had no answer to her question, and did not want to look dumb, this was his best bet.

"Okay." Iris said, then without much hesitation, she unpinned the chain from behind and removed the necklace.

"Here, your highness. Keep it safe." She handed him the chain.
