Chapter 19: An Unexpected Pact and the Search for the Werewolf's Curse

Months had passed since my meeting with Caroline. During that time, I focused on my magical studies with Sheila and on improving my physical fitness. Finally, the day came for me to get my driver's and motorcycle licenses. I hadn't yet purchased a car, but I planned to do so when I returned to Reseda.

One sunny afternoon, I decided to take a motorcycle ride around town. As I rode down the road, I spotted Stefan Salvatore walking alone.

"Thoughts: So he's finally here. Took a while, huh?" I thought with a smile.

"Hey, man..." I called to him, stopping the bike next to him.

Stefan turned around, surprised.

"You're Stefan Salvatore, right?" I asked, just to tease him.

"Yes. Who are you? How do you know me?" he asked suspiciously.

"You'd be surprised at the secrets I know about your life," I replied mysteriously. "But that's not important right now."

"Get on the bike and I'll explain how I know your life," I invited.

Stefan hesitated for a moment, but ended up accepting the invitation.

"Dude, I brought you here because I want to make a deal with you," I said, after we parked the bike in front of the Salvatore mansion. "I need you to hypnotize someone for me."

"I don't have that power yet, so I need your help with that," I explained.

Stefan stared at me, surprised. "Who are you? How do you know what I am?" he asked, trying to hypnotize me.

"Dude, that doesn't work with supernatural beings," I replied with a smile. "I'm a wizard."

"My proposal is this: hypnotize the person I'm going to ask you to do what I'm going to ask, and I won't tell anyone in Mystic Falls what you came here to do and what you are," I explained. "How about that? A good deal, don't you think?"

Stefan thought for a moment. "What's to stop me from killing you here and now, burying you, and moving on with my life without any problems?" he asked, raising his hand in threat.

"Dude, if I wanted to blow your head off right now, I could do that," I replied calmly. "I'm a little different from normal wizards. How about a little demonstration?"

"Phasmatos," I shouted, focusing my magic.

"AHHHHH, MY HEAD... STOP IT!" Stefan screamed, writhing in pain.

"Calm down, I've stopped," I said, interrupting the spell.

"Arf, arf... What was that?" he asked, panting.

"Basically, that was me giving you a brain aneurysm," I explained with a smile. "But we don't have to keep going like this, just listen to me."

"What do you want from me?" Stefan asked, looking at me curiously.

"I need you to hypnotize someone. I need their blood," I replied.

"Blood? Who is this person?" he asked.

"His name is Tyler Lockwood. Do you know about werewolves?" I asked. "Of course you do. You've been around for over 160 years, so you've probably heard of them, right?"

"!!! Lockwood? One of the founding families?" Stefan exclaimed in surprise. "You mean there are still werewolves in this world? I've lived for over 160 years and I've never seen a werewolf in my life. I mean, I heard they existed, but they went extinct long before I became a vampire."

Nah, of course there are still werewolves out there, man, you've just been so introspective these years that you didn't even notice."

"If what you're saying is true, then why do you need this guy's blood?" he asked curiously.

"You don't need to know that," I replied firmly. "I just need you to do this for me and no one will know about our plans. Everyone go to their places in peace. So? Do you accept?"

"After I do all this, are you just going to forget all about me and not tell anyone who I am and why I came here?" Stefan questioned suspiciously.

How do I know you're not lying and don't know anything about me?" He asked even more suspiciously.

Does Elena Gilbert tell you anything? "I smiled at him and gave a smirk

His eyes widened at that "yeah he understood I wasn't joking

"So we're set right? I asked him

"Okay, I accept. What time do you want to do it?" he agreed.

"Why not now?" I suggested. "Just wait here for a bit, I need to go home to get something."

Thirty minutes later...

"This is his training ground. He'll be home soon, and that's where we'll intercept him," I explained to Stefan, pointing to the spot.

"Okay, let's wait for him," Stefan agreed.

"Okay, let's wait for him..."

A few minutes later...

"There he is. He's leaving. Let's follow him," I said, watching Tyler walk out of the training field.

We followed Tyler for about 15 minutes.

"HEY, TYLER!" I yelled, getting his attention.

"Hm? Clark, what's up, man?" Tyler replied, surprised.

"Look back..." I said, pointing at Stefan.

Five minutes later...

"It's done. I've kept my end of the deal. Now keep yours," Stefan said, after hypnotizing Tyler.

"What are you talking about? "Who are you?" I asked, pretending not to know him.

"Great..." Stefan muttered, rolling his eyes.

About 3 hours later...

"I have his blood," I thought, holding up a vial of Tyler's blood. "What I'm trying to do here is a blood transfusion. I want to inject his blood into myself. If I'm right, by doing this, the 'Werewolf Curse' will exist within me as well. I don't know how I know this, but it's like a sixth sense. After I release my magic, I feel it almost all the time with certain things…"

"I've already prepared for this. A few days ago, I went to the hospital and stole some blood transfusion equipment. Well, let's get started..."

"After a few minutes..."

"I don't feel anything different..." I noted, disappointed. "Maybe it won't happen so quickly. It might take a while for something to happen..."
