When Aurora said she'd leave the next day, she meant it with all her heart. Because no sooner had dawn began to set in, Sera had already received the message of Aurora's departure.
"Won't you go to see her off?" Mertyll asked with her eyebrows creased on worry, while all Sera did was stare out at the river, out in to the distance which would surely lead her to the back of Velarys Dome if she took the little boat. Slowly but surely, Sera put on a smile, her face void of any make up or hairdo, any jewels or fancy clothing, and it had nothing to do with the day just starting. Sera just had a lot to think about.
"No need." She replied, sucking in a deep breath. "I have already given my goodbye. And it is not like this is forever."
Mertyll said nothing after that.
