When Princess Aurora Evanov of Rovamer is married off to Emperor Tesarius Izekail of Lanterbur, she is met with hostility from all sides. The Emperor's Unwanted Consort

Sera expected Tesarius to be shocked, but somehow, the face he was making was more than just being shocked. If anything, it looked like he was not expecting it.

Then suddenly, he chuckled, as if not believing it. "You mean to tell me Lady Aurora, that Aurora, suddenly decided to just get up and leave? In the middle of everything?"

Sera tilted her head sideways, suddenly enjoying this. "Why are you so surprised? If I remember correctly, she told me you knew about this. That she told you she was leaving, and you did nothing, absolutely NOTHING, to stop her from leaving."

"What are you talking about!?" Tesarius almost yelled, his voice raising and almost breaking at the end as he felt a strange tremor go all over his body. A feeling he had felt once, but not anytime recently. He couldn't place it. "What are you talking about? She never told me any such thing! I never approved of anything like that!"
