She is Pregnant!

"Then aren't you pregnant? Why don't you sit down" she put down her glass, and freed pace on the bed for me.

"It is okay, I am not even sure if I am pregnant or not." I declined her offer.

"Sit down, it's fine." she insisted. I sat down on the bed next to her.

 "You can get discharged today Anna." my husband said. " That's great!" she exclaimed. "Inira, would you like to go shopping with me later today?" She asked, her bubbly personality made me rethink my opinion of her.

"Yes, sure." I replied.

My husband peeled mandarins for us and we were chatting together for a while. Suddenly my husband's mother and grandmother came in. I quickly stood up at the sight of them. My husband's mother was holding bags of gifts for Annaelle. She entered the room with laughter, quickly changing the room's joyous atmosphere to awkward. "Annaelle, how are you doing?" She handed the gifts over to my husband who placed them on the floor, then stood up. 

"Nannin, please sit down." He offered a seat to his grandmother. "Thank you Irem" she thanked him before sitting down. I couldn't help but feel anxious, I knew my husband's grandmother didn't like me, along with my husband's mother. Now that they also had Annaelle by their side I couldn't help but wonder what would happen next. Unexpectedly not a word about my marriage with Irem got out. 

"Annaelle, I am sorry about what happened earlier, I am to blame for it. To expedite my mistake I got you petty gifts." My husband's mother apologized. "It is okay Elise mamin, I am alright now." Annaelle reassured her.

"It is good that you are alright, Anna, I am glad." My husband's grandmother said, grabbing Annaelle's hand. I was amazed to be honest by the display of love and affection they were showing at the moment. It was the first time in 6 years that I saw them like this. The last time it happened was at Louis' birth. Was it jealousy? No, just surprise. The people I was most guarded of, showed love to someone. I suddenly felt weak in my knees. I held my stomach trying to alleviate the pain coming from my lower abdomen. Looking up, I was sure of it, I was pregnant. I held my husband's harm. He looked at me, then back at them "We will be out for a moment." he said then led me out of the room.
