Chapter 4

In the depths of night, the house suddenly burst into flames. A scorching wave emanated from the kitchen, permeating the air.

The passionate sounds from the main bedroom ceased abruptly.

Sienna realized something and became frantic. "The brew I was preparing for you! I left the stove on!"

Upon hearing this, Henry quickly dressed and grasped Sienna's hand. "Never mind the concoction! We must escape!"

As he dashed towards the exit, he paused briefly at the guest room entrance.

Sienna grew anxious. "Are you going to rescue Sienna?"

I was wide awake, unable to sleep due to their shameless racket echoing like an eerie refrain.

Through the door's small opening, my eyes locked with Henry's.

For an instant, he clenched his teeth, then averted his gaze.

He responded to Sienna without hesitation, "No. If she perishes, I can always support countless others like her."

With that, Henry departed resolutely, pulling Sienna along.

My face remained impassive, but Sienna's expression revealed her unease.

After all, had Henry not lost his memories, she would have been the one abandoned.

I remained calm, not requiring Henry's assistance.

After their departure, a squad suddenly arrived, equipped with state-of-the-art firefighting equipment. They protected me as they led me safely out of the blazing residence.

Outside, they knelt before me. "Miss, we sincerely apologize for our delayed arrival!"

These were my mother's loyal subordinates—willing to risk everything to safeguard me.

I entered the vehicle, reclaiming my rightful position as the heir to one of New York's most prestigious families.

I issued a simple command to my security detail. "Let's depart. Leave this city behind."

Meanwhile, at the hospital, Henry had inhaled excessive smoke while shielding Sienna and lost consciousness.

When he finally regained awareness, Sienna was by his side, her face beaming. "Henry, you're conscious!"

However, unexpectedly, Henry's bloodshot eyes narrowed as he glowered at her. "Why are you here? Is Lianna safe?"

Sienna's eyes widened in shock. "Henry... Has your memory returned?"

He disregarded her, his voice rising with urgency. "I'm asking you, is Lianna unharmed?!"

His rage was like an untamed creature about to erupt. Sienna had never witnessed him like this before and was too frightened to respond.

At that moment, the television in the hospital room switched on, broadcasting the news.

The reporter's voice was stern and clear:

"Last night, a blaze erupted in an apartment on Fifth Avenue. According to officials, three individuals were inside the building at the time. Only two managed to escape."

"The third person, believed to have been deserted by the others, was tragically consumed by the inferno. Due to the late hour, firefighters were unable to respond promptly."

Each word pierced Henry like a sharp knife.
