Flynn's gaze was as foreboding as a thundercloud. "You two seem to be getting on quite well, don't you?"

"That's none of your business, Professor Stewart."

I tugged on Javier's sleeve and started moving away. "Come on, Javier, let's go get some food."

He responded with a warm smile and a nod, but not before throwing a challenging look at Flynn.

Just as we reached the elevator, we heard the sound of something breaking behind us.

"What was that about?" Javier asked with a frown.

"Don't pay any attention to him," I replied.

I pressed the button for the elevator. "How about we get some hot pot? I've been wanting it for weeks."

Suddenly, my phone buzzed, interrupting our conversation.
