I rolled my eyes. "What's your game now? Trying to make me your puppet again?"

"Absolutely not!" Flynn quickly responded. He gently tilted my face up, making me look at him. "I mean it, Livia. Please stay with me."

I gazed into his eyes, then suddenly chuckled sarcastically. "Flynn, do you realize? The moment I heard what you said outside the office that day, it broke me completely."

As I spoke, his hand stopped moving mid-air.

"But now..." I paused and looked directly at him, my tone steady but sharp. "Now, I feel absolutely nothing when I see you."

His face fell, a hint of doubt crossing his features. "You're not being truthful."

"I am," I replied bluntly and moved away from his touch. "These last three months taught me something crucial—my life is far too valuable to squander on someone like you."

As soon as I finished speaking, he suddenly moved forward, his mouth pressing against mine forcefully. The kiss was intense and urgent, as if he was trying to leave an impression.
