For a moment, Kallus was completely stunned. His mind blanked, and an instinctive reaction almost took over—he nearly facepalmed. Seriously? he thought. But with great effort, he controlled himself, quickly regaining his composure. He couldn't afford to look flustered, not in the middle of an important meeting.

Taking a deep breath, he shifted his focus back to Tyler, who remained completely serious, unaware of the silent exchange. Kallus internally sighed.
