Chapter 5: The First Test

Kazuo: Should we fight, Nendai?

Nendai: Sounds good to me.

Kazuo: Good. I'm anticipating to see how the other students fight.

Nendai: Same here, hope you don't mind me going all out.

Kazuo: I wouldn't expect anything less.

Ms. Aikawa: If everyone is ready and has a partner we will begin. Any volunteers who would like to go first?

Seito: Over here, ma'am! We would like to fight first.

Ms. Aikawa: Very well then. What are your names?

Seito: I'm Seito Tsuyoshi.

Kuro: I'm Kuro Nabi.

Ms Aikawa: Okay (writes down their names in a book). Everyone make some space and clear the floor for them.

They get ready to fight, everyone moving to the sideline

Ms. Aikawa: Are you both ready?

Seito: Ready!

Kuro: Ready

Ms. Aikawa: Begin!

They start fighting

Seito: Flame magic! Fury fists!

Seito charges in trying to hit Kuro, but Kuro dodges his punches

Kazuo (in his head): Flame magic. Does he just fight with his fist? Close range combat isn't that dangerous.

Kuro: (jumps backwards) Is that all you got?

Seito: Not even close. Flame magic! Flame punch air strike!

Kuro: Flame magic! Fire spear!

They both launch an attack flying toward each other. Kuro's spear goes through Seito's spell, hitting him and causing Seito to lose.

Seito: Damn. I think I'm done, for now, that spear hit the right place.

Kazuo (in his head): He launched the spear through his spell hitting Seito in the right place causing him to lose. Good accuracy.

Ms. Aikawa: The winner is Kuro Nabi. The next team get ready, you have 5 minutes.

As time goes by each team starts fighting each other. Giving everyone an idea of who to look out for.

Mizuki: Light creation magic!

Kazuo (in his head): Light magic!? That's bad news.

Mizuki: Light sword of Judgment!

Mizuki strikes down her opponent in a single blow, winning the match.

Mizuki: Oh I'm so sorry, did I go too far? (rushes over to her friend)

Kanata Souji: No I'm fine, you won fair and square.

Ms. Aikawa: The winner is Mizuki Kyiomi.

Nendai: Hey Kazuo. Isn't light magic super rare and strong?

Kazuo: Yeah it is, it's said to be the strongest attribute any person could have. The only one that can rival light magic is dark magic, which is also super rare.

Nendai: And someone has it, that's not a good sign for us.

Kazuo: Yeah it isn't

Ms Aikawa: Looks like the last battle is between Kazuo and Nendai. You guys are up.

They go to the center

Kazuo: No holding back.

Nendai: I was thinking the same thing.

Ms. Aikawa: Begin!
