Boxing Club

"I think that's all of them. Now what?" I said sitting on the couch again. "My netflix is on the tv just find something on there," Killian replied. "Hmm I've never been on netflix." I stated. Everyone froze and looked at me like I just gave away trade secrets. Mabel spoke up saying "What the Fuck!?" I laughed "I'm too busy to sit down and watch something. If I was back home I'd be triple threatening right now." Lily cocked her head to the side.

I stood up and did a handstand. "It's where I exercise, do homework and listen to an audiobook at the same time." I explained as I bounced back and forth on my hands. Then I stood back up. Everyone started mumbling. 'She has to watch…..first!' 'No she should benj…' 'NO! We have to start at the beginning.' I looked at Killian who just shrugged. "I opened a can of worms, didn't I?" I asked. He nodded.

We ended up starting with the hero movies. In order. Slowly some of the people started to leave. It was Killian, Jackson, Travis, Mabel, Audrey and myself. Jackson and Travis were sitting at the bar. Mabel curled up in one of the recliners and Audrey took the other. Killian and I were on the couch. I wrapped myself in a blanket and tried to stay awake. I failed. My dreams were flooded with cinnamon spice and cigarettes. I breathed it in like my life depended on it.

I could feel someone's hand running through my hair and heard the news playing but I stayed still. Soon the hand stopped and Killian whispered "I know you're awake, Doll." "Am I?" I teased before sitting up. "Never said you had to move." Killian smirked. My cheeks were tomatoes. Killian explained everyone else had left already for work and school. Since it was friday the school said for me to wait till monday to come in. I spent the day unpacking and getting to know Killian.

We were relaxing on the couch, my head on his lap when we heard a bike pull up. Killian shot up and jumped in the recliner right before Nick walked in. "Loser! You wanna come see the gym?" Nick asked me. "Am I allowed to use the equipment?" I asked. "Nah! I thought I'd just show it off to you. Fuck yeah you can! Go change." Nick joked. I went and put on my red workout pants with the matching sports bra. Since Uncle Nick was taking me I threw on a tank top that said 'One More Set'. Soon we were in Nick's jeep headed to the gym with Killian driving.

"Now. Since I've got you here…What's this about Edgar putting his hands on you?" Nick asked, turning to look at me. I avoided eye contact and looked out the window as I answered. "Um yeah…So when I was like 10 or 12 I hit my toe on the table and said S-h-i-t…and he backhanded me. I was 14 the next time. We were yelling at each other and I said Bull-crap and he got me in my stomach. Mom was never there when It happened and he threatened me not to tell her."

I stopped talking and the car stopped too but we weren't at a gym we were on the side of the road. Killian was fuming. Nick couldn't talk, he was so pissed. "You were…and he…young…kill him…." I turned to them and smiled real big saying "It's okay. It's in the past. I'm over it and It's not like I missed out on anything cause I never cursed." They looked at each other then back at me. "Say Fuck." Nick demanded. "No." I laughed. "Say it." Killian commanded. I cut my eyes at them. "I'm not saying it. I'll try to loosen up around y'all but It's not like I can just start cursing after going so long without it." I explained.

Starting the jeep back Killian said "Bet I can make her curse first." "You're on!" Nick yelled. I giggled and we rode the rest of the way with them both trying to make me curse. We pulled up at the gym and were greeted by some guys drenched in sweat. "King, didn't know you were coming by." The blonde said to Killian. They high-fived. Walking in I was in a daze. I knew Nick ran a boxing gym but this was amazing. There were three rings. An array of weights and punching bags. Some of the guys tried flirting with me but Killian shut them down fast.

Nick went to his office to do some paperwork. I was watching two girls fight in the middle ring. A blonde and a brunette. The brunette had no idea how to box but the blonde didn't care. "She needs to stop." I said only loud enough for Killian to hear. He looked up as if he just noticed. "HEY! Rach that's enough! You Won." he shouted. The blonde kept going. Some guys came over to tell her to stop too but nothing worked.

I huffed and jumped into the ring pulling the brunette away from Rach. "It takes true weakness to pummel someone like that." I inturged. "I'll show you weak!" She yelled jumping at me. The guys were taking care of the brunette but Killian was watching my every move. "Rachel STOP!" He yelled. But Rachel and I kept dancing around the ring.

She'd swing at me and I dodged. Jumping all around her. She didn't lay a single hit on me. "Fuck you bitch! Too scared to take a hit." She teased. I stood my ground in front of her and motioned for her to come at me. She stepped at me with a right hook I dodged while she fell. She got up furious. "I bet you can't even swing." She spat. Killian was about to jump in when Nick stopped him. "Just watch." He said.

I dodged again but came at her with a left hook to the stomach. She stumbled back and I landed a front kick. She fell back. As she was trying to get up I cracked my knuckles saying "Stay down." Of course she didn't listen. So I started bouncing on the balls of the feet landing hit after hit after hit. She was black and blue and still trying to trash talk. "Alright It's over." Nick announced. I stepped away from her and she tried to swing at me but fell face first.

Jumping down I landed in front of Killian. "That smile is creepy, Dollface." He teased me. Some of the other guys came over to talk to me and ask where I learned to fight. "Good Ol' Nicky here!" I said elbowing Uncle Nick. He smiled. "And here I was worried you didn't remember anything." He laughed. We hung out at the gym a bit before heading back to Nick's.

"Hey can I ask y'all a favor before we get back?" I asked buckling up. "What's up?" Nick nodded. "Can we go to….um… I think it was called Wild Lotus?...It's a fl.." I started. "NOPE!" They declared in unison. I crossed my arms and huffed "Jerks." "Whatever you need we can order online." Nick stated. Killian caught my eyes and I swear I saw a touch of regret
