Chapter 4

Callum frantically tried to explain everything, though he might not have even known what he was saying, just pushing all the blame onto Scarlett.

Or perhaps he simply couldn't explain clearly, and could only pin everything on Scarlett.Callum's voice gradually became choked up, "Faye, don't believe her. Can we go back and talk about this?"

"Let's go back..."

In a love triangle, the first person to take that step panicked.

With every word Callum spoke, my rationality returned bit by bit, and the tears slowly disappeared in Callum's frightened pupils.

"Callum."

I softly interrupted Callum's tearful voice.

Callum paused his explanation, making eye contact with me, filled with anxiety and unease. His face was full of pleading, begging me not to leave him.

"Faye, I can explain. I can explain everything. Please don't leave me."

"It's dawn now, and people are starting to come and go. Let's not make a scene here. You should take Scarlett and go."

"No way!"
