Chapter 2: The Attack of Uchiha Obito

Xing Liu still didn't fully understand the power granted to him by the old man who called himself a "god." However, he had a strong feeling that this ability was more extraordinary than it seemed.

"Copy anything I see... What does that even mean?" Xing Liu sighed to himself.

His sudden sigh caught the attention of Kushina Uzumaki, who was resting on the ritual platform. She smiled and asked, "Xing Liu, are you troubled by something? Want to talk about it?"

"Aunt Kushina, it's just... I have a question I can't figure out."

"If someone gave you an incredibly powerful ability but didn't provide any instructions, only a vague explanation, would you still use it?" Xing Liu lowered his head and asked.

Kushina chuckled, covering her mouth. "Is that all? You're looking so down because of that?"

"Isn't the purpose of power to be used? If you don't even have the courage to try, then no matter how powerful it is, it's just an ordinary thing."

Hearing her words, Xing Liu finally made up his mind.

She was right. Even if this ability was incredible, if he never used it, it would be no different from any other useless skill.

"Aunt Kushina, I understand now. Leave your protection to me." Xing Liu said seriously.

"What are you two talking about?"

A voice interrupted them as Minato Namikaze, who had just returned from patrol, walked over with a smile.

"Kushina, look at this. Xing Liu says he wants to protect me. How should I respond?" Kushina teased, playfully covering her cheeks as if embarrassed.

"Oh? Not bad, kid. I leave for a bit, and you start making a move on my wife?" Minato's tone was light but carried a hint of mischief.

"The woman lying here is my wife. If anyone's going to protect her, it should be me. What's with the sudden confession?" Minato smirked.

"Huh?"

Xing Liu was baffled. He had only meant that he'd protect Aunt Kushina while Minato was away. How did it suddenly turn into a confession?!

"No! Lord Fourth, that's not what I meant—" Xing Liu panicked. He knew that if he wanted to survive in this world, gaining the Fourth Hokage's trust was essential.

"Sigh, Kushina, was that really necessary? Now, how are you going to clean up this mess?" Minato sighed.

"Haha! I didn't think he'd react like this. I just played a little prank." Kushina laughed before turning to Xing Liu. "Sorry, Xing Liu. You just looked too serious, so I couldn't help but mess with you a little."

"You're not mad, right~?"

Xing Liu quickly shook his head. "No, of course not. I know you were just joking."

"Alright, enough teasing," Minato said. "We appreciate your kindness, Xing Liu, but if something really happens, stick to our original plan—your life comes first. Leave protecting Kushina to me."

"I understand," Xing Liu nodded.

Time passed, and Kushina's labor pains grew more intense.

"Minato, I think it's time!" Kushina gritted her teeth as she endured the contractions.

"Don't worry, I'm right here. Just focus on breathing..."

Minato's eyes flickered toward her glowing stomach. He had expected the Nine-Tails' seal to weaken during childbirth, but not to this extent.

"Lord Fourth…"

Xing Liu pointed toward a masked man standing not far away, watching them silently. It was impossible to tell when he had arrived.

"Leave it to me."

Minato gently released Kushina's hand and stepped toward the masked figure.

"Obito, is that you?" Minato asked softly.

The masked man hesitated for a moment before shaking his head. "No, my name is Tobi. I'm not the 'Obito' you're talking about."

"I see… If that's the case, Tobi, what brings you here? Surely, you're not just here to watch my wife give birth?" Minato smiled.

"Who knows?" Tobi chuckled. "But I do have an interest in the fox inside your wife."

Minato's expression darkened. So his target really is the Nine-Tails.

"That's unfortunate," Minato said. "That fox has been with my wife for years. We're not looking to give it away."

"I'm afraid that's not your choice to make."

Tobi's exposed eye changed. At the same time, Kushina's body convulsed violently, the light in her swollen belly growing even brighter.

"A Sharingan?!" Minato was stunned.

"As far as I know, only the Uchiha clan has the Sharingan. Who exactly are you?"

"You already know the answer, my dear teacher…"

As he spoke, Tobi's eye transformed from a normal Sharingan into the Mangekyō Sharingan.

In an instant, the entire world turned black and white.

The glow inside Kushina's belly separated from her body.

"Damn! It's Tsukuyomi! And the Nine-Tails' seal has been completely broken!"

Minato watched as the glowing entity drifted toward Tobi.

"So this is the Nine-Tails?" Tobi muttered, gazing at the light in his hand.

"Not as impressive as I expected, but it's more than enough to destroy a village."

The next second, he vanished.

"Minato… Go after him!" Kushina's weak voice called out.

"But—"

"Ugh! Enough with the 'but's! You know why Xing Liu is here. Go! If you don't stop him, he'll do something irreversible."

"Xing Liu, I'm leaving this to you."

The moment Minato finished speaking, he disappeared.

"Wow. So that's the power of Konoha's Yellow Flash?"
