Chapter-21: Chamber of secrets is open the chance is also open

Much to Harry's chagrin, he receives constant attention from Colin Creevey. He is a first year student that joined the Gryffindor. Both constantly interact with him on the base of his fame Colin treats Harry as a celebrity and Lockhart hopes to actually bring him to that state.

On September 8th, under the influence of tom riddle, Ginny Weasley opened the chamber of secrets. Knowing this Daphne carefully recorded this thing. Tom riddle is just a piece of soul and he cannot sense everyone around directly.

Unfortunately it still has to go through her father because she is still a child and she needs an adult to be her guardian. The goblins of the Gringotts will not give interest on the money. So she has to invest in other things.

The money is there but it is not enough to invest on simple things and she still needs more money to invest in the muggle world. The wizarding world also has tax and other things with many permissions and other nonsense.

Daphne did not have to go through with all this because Rita Skeeter or her father would help her in this matter. She just has to point at the right thing. No matter what she still has to find a way to remove the blood curse.

Unfortunately the amount of slander points she has on hand are not enough. Since she cannot do it this way she plans to increase the amount of slandering to the next level soon. For now she concentrated on her personal wellbeing.

This wait has lasted until the Halloween feast on October 31st. But there are few good things in the middle like Ron vomiting slugs because of the spell rebound. 

It was recorded and was published saying that Weasley family is so poor that they cannot even replace it with a new one and send their son with an old broken wand to learn magic at Hogwarts.

There is another big statement to make the red faces of Weasleys redder.

"If there is a fee at Hogwarts that they should pay from their pockets then none of the Weasley's might study at Hogwarts."

This statement has directly caused the Weasley family to be angry and they wanted to sue Rita Skeeter for writing such an article but when their bank statement was mentioned clearly the Weasley's shut their mouths.

The statement that Rita Skeeter gave for defense is "I am only stating the truth. What if the broken wand of Weasley caused a high rebound and cost a life. Who would take responsibility for this matter?"

With this question the court turned in favor of Rita Skeeter directly. Rita Skeeter did not expect the idea of Daphne to work so well and she was actually out of the case with one statement.

Actually that is the problem with wizards. They would not think in logic and usually are blind to simple things right in front of them. The best example for this point is actually the case of basilisk that was not solved for 50 years.

On October 31st, Daphne quickly completed eating what she wanted because there will be commotion later and the people would be sent back so that the food they can eat would be reduced.

Well they would provide food if asked but it would make people look down on her because the place has problem and someone is petrified. Who in the right mind would ask even house elves to bring food for them?

It is no different than asking them to face the beast that actually caused the incident alone. So she quickly completed eating the food and then the shouts and commotion happened.

Naturally the suspects are Harry, Ron and Hermione that discovered the petrified cat Mrs. Norris that belongs to Filch. Daphne also went along with the group to take a look and get some firsthand information.

They all went to the second floor, where they find the bathroom flooded and Mrs. Norris, Filch's cat, hanging from a torch bracket, petrified and next to her, a threatening message is written on the wall, reading.

"THE CHAMBER OF SECRETS HAS BEEN OPENED. ENEMIES OF THE HEIR, BEWARE". 

Then, students leaving the Halloween Feast surround them. And Malfoy yells: 

"Enemies of the Heir, beware! You'll be next, Mud bloods!"

Daphne did not say anything and the girls following pansy also did not say anything about this matter because Daphne gestured them to stay silent. At that time they wanted to talk to Daphne because they found that Daphne actually found something.
