Chapter-26: destroying Horcrux using high powered laser equipment

"What happened? Did someone attack my puppet? It costs me 10 thousand gold coins to make this puppet. Whomever you are that destroyed my puppet should repay me the money. If not I will sue you."

When she spoke others looked at her with slight sympathy and also marveled at her luck of surviving the disaster with a puppet. In a way she exchanged her life with money to avoid the disaster.

But the cost of it can make any one angry. 1000 gold coins can let you open up a shop which indicates how much 10 thousand gold coins are worth. Daphne did not care about their thoughts and she continued with her thing.

Since they caught the basilisk there is no danger at Hogwarts and the students can normally return there to study. Naturally the parents are still reluctant and the ministry of magic has to show some assurance before things returned back to normal.

Daphne on the other hand knows that with this interference most of the plot of this year is broken completely and there is no protagonist show. The diary that was taken by the death eaters would be solved later. 

This is because Daphne left a mark on the diary and she knows it location all the time. The mark was not left by Daphne but it was left by wily. Because of the dramatic experience the Hogwarts was given a week of holidays for the students.

Naturally people like Harry that did not have any where to go can only go to the houses of his friends to stay while Hogwarts was thoroughly investigated again for safety reasons. This time Dumbledore did not object those people from coming in to search.

On the other hand Daphne sent wily to replace the diary of Voldemort from the hands of those death eaters and bring the book back. Because of her channels she got her hands on modern equipment called the laser burner.

She wanted to see if she can burn this diary with laser burner. No matter if it is magic or science one thing is common. Energy is always energy and law of conversation of energy applies to all things including magic.

In one of the magic laws it is said that magic cannot create food or water but can bring that from a different place. Similarly magic can transform things but cannot create things. This is very similar to the law of conservation of energy.

Daphne took the diary and went to her special laboratory and put the book on a special basin. Then she made a magic formation of sealing around the book so that the soul inside cannot run away.

Naturally she did not have this power but wily has and he is more than willing to help her. He knows the dangers of Voldemort that kills others without blinking an eye. So he would do anything if it means they can destroy him.

Daphne turned on the laser and let it project the concentrated high temperature burning laser beam on the book. The book was intact at first but as the intensity of the laser increased the book started to show signs of burning and a strange greenish black smoke appeared.

It wanted to get out of the diary but the seal around stopped it from moving away from the place. Daphne noticed that this greenish black smoke is making a face. But she did not care and burnt it even harder.

After a while longer the diary burned more and more. The soul of any kind needs an object to stick and live but if the object is destroyed and damaged they have to find another thing to latch on to. 

If they could not find something different during this time they will die easily and dissipate. This is clearly knows by Daphne because she saw this in many movies and stories. If it was mentioned in one thing then it is okay but if it was mentioned in many things then there is a problem.

That is it is true to some extent. So systematically she destroyed the diary to crisp and the plate below is made of special material and has lot of special water connected to it making it immune to spirit possession. 

The later is not turned off and it was moved to attack the black fog more and more. Finally there is an ear piercing scream and the black fog dissipated. Daphne did not dare to be careless and asked wily to check the situation.

Only after he nodded that the spirit is completely destroyed she sighed with relief. This means that the Horcrux of Voldemort is destroyed perfectly. The Weasley family came to Greengrass family at this time.

They wanted to thank Daphne for saving their daughter Ginny. No matter what Daphne's words has saved Ginny this time which is an undeniable truth about this matter. They don't know the future where Harry potter would heroically save her.

So naturally they would be grateful towards Daphne about this matter. Daphne smile and accepted their gratitude and then talked to Ginny for a while before they left happily. Daphne did not show the arrogance of pure bloods or blame them.

Florian Greengrass spoke to them with enthusiasm and did not show any contempt. Naturally these are all good signs for them to see. After they left Florian took a class to Daphne for her reckless behavior that almost cost her, her life.

Daphne did not refuse his words and wanted for him to complete his teachings before telling him that she is sorry and would not do something like that again. Unfortunately she would do that kind of thing again because she wanted to remove the blood curse.

Also she understood that high powered laser can destroy Horcrux. She would not tell this to others because telling this would reveal that she destroyed a Horcrux. She would not that kind of stupid things.
