Chapter 6

"I'll return in sixty days," I announced.

Henry yelled, "Camille, have you lost your mind? What about Nicole? Who will prepare her meals, transport her to school, and assist with her studies? And how much is this prolonged holiday costing you? Enough already! Just purchase a ticket and return home!"

"I'm using my own funds. It's not your concern. I won't come back until I'm satisfied," I replied flatly.

"And Nicole? Are you just going to neglect her?"

"I'm her sister-in-law, not her parent! I have no obligation to care for her. Moreover, she constantly grumbles that I'm too domineering. Isn't it perfect?—I'll stop looking after her."

He was livid. "You have 24 hours. If you're not back by this time tomorrow, our marriage is over!"

I chuckled. "Excellent! Let's do it—I was hoping you'd finally mention it."

"Fine! If we don't end this marriage, I'm a fool!" Henry proclaimed.
