"Text me your whereabouts now. I'll arrange transportation to pick you up," Henry stated.
"That's not necessary. I'm currently in Seattle."
His tone immediately escalated. "The whole family is in New Orleans! Why on earth are you in Seattle?"
"I made a last-minute change to my travel plans. You all can enjoy yourselves; I won't be joining," I responded coolly.
"Camille, what kind of trick are you playing? This is supposed to be a family vacation, and now you've gone off on your own?" He fumed.
"Indeed—it's meant to be a family trip. Yet you put me on a 36-hour uncomfortable train journey alone, while giving a premium seat to someone outside the family. What exactly were you thinking?" I replied with sarcasm.
"I should have known. You're still upset about that? Camille, you're being so trivial! It was just a train seat for goodness' sake. We didn't abandon you."
I chuckled. "Oh, so I should be grateful?"
