Four

It's been two days since Eden encountered Lior, but he hadn't seen the other male even in their university. Whenever Lior was there, he avoided him. He could feel that the other was looking at him, making his inner wolf whine to be with his mate, but Eden tried to stop himself. This is also the second day that her father has made the sin he committed worse even though he didn't do it, especially when it came out that Victoria was pregnant, so the search for the last person she was with at the bar on the night of her birthday party hastened even more. Eden wanted to defend himself against this, but his father arranged everything, and the result was that he would immediately get married to the lady.

He held his breath, so Nico noticed it. The omega knew that his friend had a huge problem. "Are you still thinking?" He asked his friend. Eden just shook his head and answered. "Before but not now," Nico felt sorry for his friend's situation; if he could help someone, he would try to help his friend, so he regretted not coming that night. "Why don't you reveal about you and Lior being mated so you can't marry Victoria?" He suggested enough for both of them to hear, and Eden turned to him. "No, I don't want to." If the young man is stubborn, even if he admits it, he might just be embarrassed by the pack, especially since everyone knows that he and Lior are mortal enemies, and he might even say that what he is saying is not true just to escape his guilt.

"But we don't have a choice," Nico added, but still Eden firmly said no. Nico sighed because of the stubbornness of his friends, and there was nothing he could do at that time when Eden had already made up his mind. They both returned to their classes, while Lior, on the other hand, went to the pack clinic to get medicine for his shoulder wound. He knew this was no ordinary wound, but he still needed to treat it until Eden gave up on him. He was so excited when he confirmed that the young man was his mate, and he was ready to take responsibility for it. He was about to turn on the road when he saw Victoria's parents and Eden's stepmother talking on the road, so he hid first.

Until now, everyone is still puzzled by what happened at the girl's birthday party. Lior decided to listen to what they were talking about. "Are you sure Valentine will believe this?" Talia, Victoria's mother's name, asked, making Vanessa laugh. "He was already suspecting his own son, so by the time the result came out, the two would get married." Lior's eyes widened after hearing those; he knew that they were planning something for Eden. "My daughter would be happy about this; she admitted that she was the one who planned to put the drug in Eden's drink just to be her mate, but it didn't happen, so this is her chance," Victor added, making Lior clench his fist. He didn't like what he was hearing from them.

He closed his eyes first and calmed himself down before coming out of hiding and walking towards the three elders. "What are you talking about?" He asked as if no one had heard; they were surprised to see him. Vanessa smiled and looked at him before speaking. "It's you, Lior; it's just about the pack, and why are you here?" Lior looks at her fake innocent face; maybe this was what Eden was dealing with after his father got remarried again. "Oh, that's right, I'm going to get some medicine for the body pain. I'll go first because I still have school." He didn't wait for them to speak and walk first, but he could still hear them talking. "Did he hear us?" Talia asks, but Vanessa just repeats. "He hated Eden, so he wouldn't say it if he heard it." Lior wanted to say he doesn't hate Eden; he wants to protect his mate from them. That's why he had to plan immediately before they revealed some lies to despise the young man.

After a long, tiring day at university, Eden still has to report to the pack clinic for a while. No matter how much he improves his studies, he knows where he will work when he graduates in the future. His father wanted him to be part of the Alpha Council, but now it seems that it is unclear because of the sin he committed. Eden doesn't want to be stuck in the pack forever until his death; if only he could choose what he wants to do, but he can't. He sighed and continued his way to the pack clinic; he didn't know if there was a shadow waiting for him to arrive at the corner. When Eden passed that corner, someone suddenly grabbed him again, making him surprised, and he cried out in pain again due to the force of his hitting the wall.

"Sorry for that," a familiar voice muttered, causing him to open up his eyes and look at the man he had been avoiding for the last two days. Lior looked at him with concern, making him feel like he was melting. He wanted to hug the other male, but Eden tried to ignore it. "What do you want again, Lior.?" he coldly asked. Lior knew this would be his reaction, so it might be difficult for him to relax everyone, so he took a breath before speaking. "You need to leave the pack, right now." Eden looked at him with disbelief; the young man couldn't believe what Lior said. "What are you saying? Why do I have to leave the pack?" Lior looked around before leaning closer. "You have to leave before everything goes according to plan because maybe tomorrow my dad will approve the certificate that Victoria will be your mate."
