CHAPTER 13: RICK VS ALEX I

"Is he dead?" Rick asked Megan in a scared tone,

"relax, he isn't just give him about three more seconds" Megan said while she focused on Walt's body which was lying on the floor. Rick then stood there quietly waiting to see what would happen next and with barely three seconds gone Walt's eyes opened as he then raised his head from the ground as well, after that he then twisted his head back to it's normal position without any stress at all.

Rick then smiled as he watched, he was pleased that Walt was still alive,

"why are you acting surprised, he's a vampire and so are you, maybe your genes are even stronger than theirs, you guys don't go down as easy as this" Megan said as she then walked up to where Rick was standing, Rick turned and looked at her while she stood beside him

"your wounds are healed" he then said,

"tada!" she then said, "well that's what being super human can get you" she finished, Rick then nodded and turned his head around.

"Okay Rick you're up next" Abiola said to him,

"who am I fighting?" Rick then asked,

"me, Walt isn't really in a good shape to fight you" Alex then said to him,

Rick looked at Megan as he gulped his spit out of fear,

"he's tough but you're the Chosen One, who knows, you might end up beating him" Megan said to him, Rick then turned around and closing his eyes he then dashed to the battle field and he then stopped in between Alex and Walt,

"good luck" Walt whispered to him in his ears and then dashed away from there and met Megan,

"I heard that" Alex said,

"I don't care" Walt replied him.

"Okay Chosen One, let's see what you got" Alex said as he then faced Rick with both his arms folded, Rick them turned and faced him properly,

"Okay here we go, let the battle begin" Abiola said.

Rick took in a deep breath with both his eyes closed and the moment he released his breath he then dashed straight at a really fast pace, he then threw a punch at Alex which he dodged and retaliated with a punch of his own which didn't seem to do much harm to Rick who immediately brought his head back up and continued fighting.

Alex and Rick kept on going at each other and the fight looked to be even and this shocked the others, Walt watched in surprise,

"this is ridiculous, how is he doing that?" he said,

"well maybe that's the advantage that comes with being so special, instant understanding of your own ability" Megan replied him.

After a few minutes of going at each other without a break, the two were then separated by a heavy punch from Rick which pushed Alex far away from him, Alex was still able to land on his feet but even Rick was surprised as he was breathing heavily after landing that punch, Alex on the other still looked as calm as ever as he just started walking back towards Rick, Rick then took another deep breath preparing for what was to come next.

"Is that all you've got Chosen One, because I'll like to tell you that that was just me having fun" Alex said and then he stopped walking,

"anyways that was pretty impressive for a first timer like yourself, I guess that's an advantage that comes with being so special" he then finished,

"you shouldn't be surprised, I have a black belt in karate by the way" Rick replied,

"karate is not the problem here Rick, with we Vampires it's about how strong you are" Alex said and then immediately his eyes turned red as some some slight red veins could be seen on the skin around his eyes and his fangs came out as well as he then quickly dashed towards Rick and landed a heavy punch on his face, this sent Rick flying in the air but just before he landed on the floor Alex had already appeared at the spot where he was going to fall at and kicked him up in the air, and then using his elbow he then hit Rick on the face and this saw Rick land on the floor causing the whole area to vibrate as a small hole was also formed where fell.

"What are you doing Alex, you weren't supposed to transform" Abiola said,

"what's the difference between a vampire when he looks human and when he looks like a vampire?" Alex then asked her,

"they're stronger" Abiola replied unsure of her answer,

"maybe, but he can manage, remember what Skull said, I should train him well and it looks like he's already getting a hang of it so maybe it's better to increase the intensity by much more, we don't have much time here, don't worry he can handle it" Alex said.

Rick then finally got up from his feet after struggling for a while,

"you transformed!?" Rick asked Alex in surprise after looking at his eyes,

"yes I did, now I will suggest you do so as well so this fight can be a little bit more fair" Alex said to him,

"I can't" Rick replied,

"fine, suit yourself, when you take in enough hits you'll transform on your own" Alex said and he then once again charged at Rick he threw a punch but Rick was able to block it, he threw another one and Rick was fast enough to dodge, he then attempted using his knee but to no avail Rick stopped him, he was moving way more faster than before but it looked like Rick was still getting a hang of everything despite being unable to transform.

Alex then took a break from attacking Rick as he stopped to anticipate on what to do to actually beat Rick because it seemed nothing was working for him, after a while of giving everything thought, he then went full force at Rick as he used both hands to hit Rick but he was able to block the punch, despite that the velocity from the hit was enough to push him back and it was now that Alex had his chance as he then landed a spinning kick on Rick's face unexpectedly and then two heavy punches followed instantly sending Rick to the ground.

"Rick laid there and he looked to be unconscious, Alex stood there and watched him while Megan and Walt who were on the sidelines and also Abiola all watched Rick lay there, everyone except for Alex looked to be expecting Rick to get back up on his feet but it didn't seemed to be working out,

"looks like I've won" Alex said as he proudly turned around, but then he noticed a bright light shining beside him and he quickly turned around, to he and everyone's astonishment it was Rick who was floating in the air, his whole body was covered by a bright golden light while his eyes were closed, and then after a few seconds his eyes opened they looked golden with what looked like flames of fire on top, his mouth then slowly opened as fangs then gently grew out, he then landed on his feet as the golden light then disappeared and what seemed to be a reincarnation was now over, he then raised his eyes and gave Alex a deadly look, this was enough to scare even Alex.
