Winning at the cost of losing (Miette)

I stood there with Reo watching the sight of the burning building. Such a beautiful town meeting this drastic calamity. So many people died in the fire.

I turned my head and saw Reo move toward Yuki and Echirou. He put his hand on their shoulders and asked us to return to our hotel.

Something was really eerie about Reo's body language. It was too calm, too peaceful. I was 100% sure he had something to do with that burnout.

We all went to our rooms but I stood in the hallway.

"What's wrong Miette? come in"

"....Reo?"

"Hmm ?"

I didn't want to say it here but my mouth just spat those words out on its own.

"You were the one behind that fire right ?"

He pulled me into his room gently and locked the door.

"Now ask what you were asking ?"

"It was you behind everything right ?"

"Yes"

I looked into his eyes. They were looking at me with that usual dead look. They were even darker than before but there was something off about them.

They weren't sad.
