Tormentation

Walking out of my room while watching Miette break down was unknowingly hard for me.

(How come she feels the emotions on my behalf? It's so absurd that it doesn't make any sense. And what was all that thing about her being precious to me... Was it really needed ?)

I shifted my mind from her as I sensed someone nearby.

"Show yourself"

I said out loud and to my surprise, Echirou came out from a corner.

He didn't meet my eyes. Just stood there.

"I heard everything if you are wondering"

It was really bad. More ears to my plan and information might leak.

I pulled him and kept my hand on his shoulder. He was a little shorter than me so I wrapped my arm around his neck.

"Will you hand me over to them, for them to kill me?"

I genuinely asked him, showing him the worst that could happen.

"No, yo-you just reminded me of my dad. He was a freedom fighter as well and he took part in these things as well."
