A mother's anger

LORRY SPRINGSTONE'S / KELLY THOMPSON'S POV

After discussing with the head housemaid Tina about finding me a permanent room in the castle, Jason shifts his attention back to me and throws out a surprising new suggestion.

He mentions that it might be better for me to stay with Eden in the royal chamber so I can keep an eye on him throughout the night. For a moment, I’m taken aback, not quite sure how to react.

"I... I'm not sure that's appropriate, Your Majesty," I stutter, trying to keep my professional demeanor intact.

"Maybe it would be better if I stayed nearby but not in the same room," I eventually clarify.

Jason shakes his head firmly.

"No, Doctor Springstone. I insist. Eden's health is my top priority, and I want you right here if anything changes overnight. There's a comfortable chaise lounge by the window where you can rest. Please, for my son's sake, stay!" the ruler of the South pack pleads.
