Cold weather

KELLY THOMPSON'S POV

And then the winter became harsher with colder temperatures and biting winds that swept through our camp, a stark reminder of the challenges we faced. The frost clung to the trees, and the ground became treacherous, making our training sessions all the more difficult. Yet, the resolve among our warriors only strengthened.

With each passing day, I felt the weight of the impending darkness grow heavier on my shoulders. The Black Faes were out there, plotting and scheming, and I could not afford to let my guard down. To prepare for the worst, I called for a meeting with Jason and Isolde.

“We need to ensure our supply lines are secure,” I said, my voice steady. “If the Black Faes strike again, we cannot risk being overwhelmed. We must have everything we need to hold our ground.”

Jason nodded, his expression grim. “I’ll assign a team to scout the surrounding areas for resources. We need to be fully stocked, especially with winter closing in.”
