Chapter 29 - The Principal's Speech

Two days before the entrance examination,

Sam and all of the Base City students are present inside their school. Today the principal summoned all of them.

The principal wanted to make a statement to all of the students who would be taking the entrance exam before it began.

Sam notices many familiar faces around him. Everyone seems to be looking forward to the speech. Many people noticed him, but they simply ignored him.

Sam was not concerned about those people. More importantly, they are all just extra characters like him in the main plot.

None of them would be able to join the top three academies or gain recognition. No one from Base City is mentioned in the story.

So it is easy to predict that all of the students will become background characters. This is another reason why Sam is not paying attention.

Sometime later,

As soon as the principal and all of the teachers arrived on the playground, all of the students fell silent.

"I am glad to see that all of my students are present. I hope everyone is doing well and preparing for the entrance exam.

The entrance exam will be held in two days. I hope all of you are ready for it. As is customary, the first stage of the examination will be a written exam.

The second stage of the examination will be Monster hunting, followed by the third stage, Battle Royal.

Regarding the written examination: I hope you all review all of the suggestions made by our teachers. Even though we cannot guarantee that all of the suggestions will be useful, you will still benefit from them.

The second thing is that we already know which part of the danger zone will be used for the entrance examination.

The danger zone near the border city G was chosen for the entrance examination. We have already compiled a list of all the common Monsters found in that part of the danger zone.

Collect the list before you leave the schoolyard. This would be beneficial for all of you. There could be many more new Monsters there.

However, against those common Monsters, that information will be useful. Never forget that anything can happen inside the danger zone.

As a result, never became reckless or overconfident while in the danger zone. Even if you are fighting a weak monster, you should not be careless for a second.

I just hope you all stay safe and avoid any injuries.

Most of you are probably already familiar with the second and third stages of the examination. But I still wanted to provide some details.

In the second stage of the competition, you were required to hunt monsters. The more Monsters you can hunt, the more points you will be able to earn.

Remember that the examiners will always be watching your performance. Always avoid using illegal methods. Your future would have ended.

Not only the Monsters, but all of you, must exercise caution around other students. Many students will attempt to attack other students in order to gain points, which, as you know, is legal.

The third stage of the exam would be a battle royale. You would be fighting with other students…"

The principal began to deliver his speech about the entrance exam. All of the students took the principal's suggestions very seriously.

Because all of these suggestions would benefit all students. Base City is a small city, and the majority of the students here have average or below-average potential.

Only a few people, including Simon, have great potential. This is another reason why Base City School provided those resources to the Elite class students.

Even if you have high potential, you will be unable to compete with the students from powerful Warrior families.

It is true that when the gods bless you, they do not care about your status. However, it is also true that future growth is dependent on your potential and resources.

Even the story's protagonist, despite having three blessings, would be unable to achieve such great power unless he possessed extraordinary potential and resources.

After a while,

Finally, the principal completes his speech. All the teachers and students start clapping for him.

Following that, one by one, the students approached the management office. All students who take the entrance examination will be given a list of Monsters that are common in the danger zone chosen for the examination.

During this time, Sam observes all of the students around him. Well, he is familiar with all the other normal students.

But this would be the first time he gets to see those Elite students or you can say students from Elite class. Simon was one of those he noticed.

Simon has the highest grade potential of any student at Base City School. You can see the other 12 Elite class students next to him.

They all have good potential. They did not have Simon's high potential, but they outperformed average students in their class.

If Sam's prediction is correct, Simon's potential is C-grade, while the other students in Elite class are around D-grade.

As expected, not only Sam, but many other students, are paying attention to Simon. All of the students wanted to meet the well-known Simon. They wanted to make contact with Simon.

This is perfectly normal. Many people did this to improve their lives. If you form a strong bond with a powerful warrior, you may reap benefits in the future.

Sam did not think much about it and walked towards the management office. It takes him some time to get the list of Monsters. This list will undoubtedly prove useful to him.
