Chapter 32 The hunters

Silver stood in the forest.

LoLo, the masked one, said, "Let's stop here and see what's next. We've been in the forest for the last three months."

LoLo picked a flower, then hid it with a piece of paper. Poof! A journal appeared.

"Big news," LoLo muttered, opening it, with a smile on his face.

The Balance Kingdom, Year 700, Start Period.

A hunter group called the Chaos Hunters emerged.

For the first time in the history, the Balance Kingdom that ruled by elves, with help from noblemen and noble knights. They joined forces to hunt down the Chaos Seekers, for the first time they fight back the seeker, the Hunter said to every one feel they see chaos seeker contact us and gave us the information where and when did you see it, all your information will be secured, and will not be leaked to any others source.

LoLo flipped the page.

One of the noble sons—Silver—is a Chaos Seeker from the House of Madness.

Silver stared in shock. He threw the journal far away and held his head.

"What?! I'm a Seeker?! I just ended my training a few months ago... I was just getting my first rare items... trying to find that damn spell. But now—I'm being hunted down by elves and the worst they know how i looks like?!"

Lily smirked and said, "Looks like you're on the leaderboard now."

She picked up the journal. "Look closely."

The page showed a picture of Ignil as one of the main leaders.

Ignil: "Silver, I will stop you and put an end to your chaos."

Silver froze in shock.

Emily gently placed her hand on his shoulder. "Look on the bright side. Everyone knows you now."

Silver replied, "That's the problem. I can't do what I need to if everyone knows me."

LoLo said, "I'll give you some tips—always be on your guard."

Lily nodded. "Yeah, especially now. We're being followed by knights."

Silver took a breath. "Then let's keep our distance and watch what happens next."

Somewhere else, a group of people gathered.

Ignil said, "Let's keep our distance." He was followed by an elf and his friend, Hans.

Hans turned to the elf and the other knights. "We need to find where they're hiding the Temple of Madness. It should be around here." remember we not here to fight just follow them.

A beautiful elf in golden armor stood beside them. Her hair and eyes glowed like sunlight. Her name was Hira. She spoke softly, "How do we confirm they're close?"

Ignil replied, "If they teleport back, it means they're near the temple. We need to make them teleport the rest on you."

Another elf stepped forward, wearing robes. He had white hair and a beautiful, youthful face.

"That's why I'm here," he said. "I'm a mage. I'll know if they teleport to the temple—or somewhere else."

Hans frowned. "How can you tell if it's the temple or another place?"

The mage, Lian, answered, "Easy. If they teleport to another place, the black energy is weak. But if it's to the temple, it becomes stronger."

Hans argued, "They could manipulate it."

Hira responded, "Teleportation uses soul energy. Only the rulers of the Houses can manipulate it."

Lian added, "If they can fake it, then we wouldn't be here. The highest-ranking elves and the Village Boss would be hunting them down—not us."

Hans let out a breath. "That's a bit of a relief… knowing we have elven help."

Hira said, "You knights are stronger than us. It's not about strength. It's about their ways. Sometimes, we can't handle them. Two years ago, when Silver joined them—we couldn't stop them. They teleported and used things we couldn't understand."

Hans tried to calm him. "Take it easy."

Hira said seriously, "It takes a lot of effort—and sacrifice—to understand soul energy."

Lian nodded. "That's why we didn't move against them before. Thanks to your efforts—and the noble Robert."

Hira's voice turned cold. "They're up to something."

In another place…

Silver said, "Let's use the contact route. We need to call the boss. The badge has to be transferred safely."

LoLo nodded. "That's true."

A voice rang out from their communication crystal. "Hello, my friend. I heard the news. You're famous now."

Silver growled, "Cut it. The badge—if we teleport, they'll know we're close. They've probably brought their camp here."

The voice answered, "It's an important badge. The other Houses need it now. Let's give them something to play with."

"Okay," Silver said.

Lily added, "Then let's teleport. It'll take a lot of energy to transfer the badge safely."

They stopped. A dark circular gate appeared.

Suddenly, Ignil shouted, "Stop it, Silver!"

Silver scowled. "Damn you, Ignil!" He jumped into the gate.

Lian gasped. "They're close. Their dimension is near!"

Elsewhere…

Halfy and Halfad arrived. Murad began explaining what happened.

"The knights and Chaos Hunters are tracking them," he said. "You won't believe what's happening now…"

He paused, staring into the distance.

"In the year 702, Halfy was in the academy… Why am I remembering this now?"

It was a memory—one that made him cry to his father, begging to enter the academy at a young age...
