At Lu Renjia's back, a woman wearing glasses gave an order, and the small intelligent mechs following them began to methodically unload the supplies from the train.
Bianka watched the small mechs with curiosity. She had seen them on the eighth basement level before, and although she had only glanced at them briefly, she remembered their names.
These were Spider Mechs, Guard Mechs, and other small models. Compared to Quinn, they lacked a certain spark; one could say they were very smart, but not truly sentient.
These were the mechs that had failed to awaken through Lunli's Key. Lunli had not taken them but had left them to continue serving human civilization.
While she was observing them, Lu Renjia had already approached her.
"Hello, give me the box," Lu Renjia said, reaching out to steady one side of the crate.
"But it's very heavy," Bianka replied, kindly reminding him.
"Don't worry, leave it to me!" Lu Renjia flashed a confident smile. "I'll take you all to the second front for a rest later."
Bianka didn't refuse again and let go of the half-ton crate.
The moment the weight transferred to his hands, Lu Renjia's expression shifted from confident to terrified, then to stubborn determination, then to compromise, and finally to panicked desperation.
"Wait, wait, wait, wait..." Lu Renjia hastily squatted down to cushion the weight. Bianka, having anticipated this, easily took back the center of gravity and supported the crate.
"Are you okay?" Bianka asked with concern, looking at Lu Renjia, who was on the verge of collapsing.
"I'm fine!" Lu Renjia looked up, forcing a smile, then quickly turned his head and shouted at the woman directing the robots.
"Sis! Sister Jingxuan! Quick, call over two Big Heads to help me!!"
The woman called Sister Jingxuan glanced at Lu Renjia's pathetic state, sighed helplessly, and waved her hand. Two mechs with indeed rather large heads broke off from their original route and quickly scuttled over to Lu Renjia.
Bianka placed the equipment on the two "Big Heads" and watched in amazement as they carried the armor out of the station in perfect sync.
Lu Renjia, having recovered, scratched his head in embarrassment and quickly scurried away, muttering to himself.
"My goodness... I knew something was off... This new member is practically on the same level as The Finality! She's definitely no joke!"
These words reached the ears of Rita, who was the last to disembark. She gave Lu Renjia a polite smile, then walked out slowly, carrying over a dozen spears. She handed the extras to a Guard Mech, keeping only the two that she and Bianka had used.
"This is really convenient..." Bianka murmured. Rita walked over to her side.
"In more prosperous times, the logistics centers and freight terminals in first-tier cities were even more impressive than this, though only the frontline military districts would use these kinds of robots for transport," Rita said to Bianka with a smile. "Has Lady Durandal not seen these automated assembly lines before?"
"Ah... ahem, of course I have. It's just that I haven't... I haven't seen them use these robots for transport," Bianka answered, a little flustered. Rita's eyes narrowed slightly, her smile widening.
"I haven't seen them much either. In fact, most people before the Great Honkai probably never saw such a scene..." Rita turned her gaze back to the robots.
"Docking complete, cargo count confirmed. We can depart," Theresa announced. She still had the giant cross on her back; it was her weapon, and while it affected her somewhat, it wasn't tiring.
"It's getting late today. I'll take you all to the second frontline to rest for the night. The first front is close by, so we'll escort their supplies. The third and fourth fronts are a bit far, so we'll have to trouble you to make a trip tomorrow," Lu Renjia said to them.
Bianka nodded seriously. By the time they left the station, the robots had already loaded the supplies onto several trucks. Lu Renjia led them to an armored vehicle with a thick outer shell.
"Lu Renjia, how's the situation at the front recently? How far are we from that shelter?" As soon as they got in the vehicle, Theresa began asking about the war situation.
"According to the people on the third front, they've already advanced to the outskirts of that middle school. They're just two streets away from the planned breakthrough point."
"It's just that on that street, there are two Chariot-class Honkai Beasts, one Knight-class, seven Seraph-class, and most importantly, three Catapult-class Honkai Beasts. Captain Rose is worried that the Catapult-class will cause massive damage during the battle, so she's been waiting for the new equipment to arrive."
Theresa nodded and fell into thought.
For Himeko's Titan squad, dealing with those Honkai Beasts wasn't a problem at all. But reality wasn't a simple matter of just fighting and killing.
The best way to deal with Chariot-class and Knight-class Honkai Beasts was to use long-range missiles. But the destruction caused by using missiles could easily encompass the shelter two streets away.
And without missiles, the Catapult-class Honkai Beasts couldn't be suppressed. Three Catapult-class could cause far more damage than those three large Honkai Beasts! The former would just charge around, but the latter could actually launch projectiles!
"And there are still Deadwalkers on that street. Ordinary soldiers can't provide cover," Lu Renjia added. "According to the information from the Overseer, Honkai Beasts aren't supposed to coexist with Deadwalkers..."
"Is it because the Catapult-class have Deadwalkers protecting them?" Theresa considered a possibility.
"That seems to be the only possibility..." Lu Renjia sighed and complained offhandedly, "Two tanks, one rusher, a few scouts, and the main DPS even has mobs protecting them. What a well-balanced lineup..."
It was indeed well-balanced. In games, these kinds of complete lineups were the most troublesome.
But more than the composition of the Honkai Beasts, the bigger question was why so many Honkai Beasts and Deadwalkers had gathered on one street.
Could it be that something there was attracting them?
"What about the reason the Honkai Beasts are gathered there? Has that been investigated?" Theresa asked again.
Lu Renjia shook his head. "Maybe they got stuck on the terrain."
A wave of silence made Lu Renjia feel a bit awkward.
"According to the Overseer's information, I believe it's possible that two groups of people appeared within the Honkai Beasts' detection range at the same time, and they didn't know which side to go to," Bianka, who had been deep in thought, suddenly said.
The vehicle fell silent once more.
"So that's how it's done? How impressive," Rita praised out of the blue.
