Julia's Perspective

The same fiend who had ripped open my abdomen and extracted my unborn infant was before me. As if that wasn't horrific enough, she had inserted moonfire narcotics before meticulously stitching me up. I had been kept conscious, enduring the agony with each excruciating suture. Her visit today was to place the missing body parts. She had encountered Darren as she left.

Yet Darren remained oblivious to all this, still viewing her as his flawless angel.

Darren's inner wolf was anguished. His mate had perished, and he held Darren responsible.

Upon discovering those missing body parts, he finally realized that I was the mutilated woman on the table, and that the fetus in that doll was actually our child, not some cruel joke I was playing.

"Darren, please calm yourself," Sean implored, but Darren was beyond reason now.
