Chapter 7

I spun away from him, clutching the doorframe, but Hunter was faster. He squeezed himself between the door and its frame, advancing with a menacing look in his eyes. Before I could react, he seized my shoulders and yanked me against him. "Ava," he whispered, his tone soft yet persuasive. "Let's try again."

I trembled at his touch, feeling nothing but the weight of his dominance. "Release me," I snarled, attempting to push him away. "I mean it, Hunter. We're through!"

His grip tightened, drawing me nearer. "Through?" he repeated, his voice gentle but threatening. "We're bound, Ava. You can't just abandon me. No one leaves an alpha, especially not his omega partner."

I clenched my jaw, enraged. "A partner?" I hissed. "You forced this connection, Hunter. You ignored my wishes, my independence, and now you demand loyalty?"
