Alex, my spouse, repeatedly ignored calls from our child, letting them go unanswered.
"Father, Mother is hemorrhaging severely. Can you return promptly?"
A series of messages were dispatched, finally eliciting a response.
"Notify me when your mother has truly expired, and I'll come to retrieve her remains."
Alex likely never anticipated my demise. His callous words became reality. I vanished, just as he'd foretold, but ultimately, he was left behind, imploring me not to depart, beseeching me not to abandon him.

The Last Call, When Love Chooses Death

Midway through the kindergarten activities, the hospital staff grew increasingly anxious to reach Alex, and their persistent attempts made him incredibly frustrated. He was forced to step into the hallway with his mobile phone to take the call.


"Mr. Gordon, Kevin has vanished from the hospital. Please come immediately."


Enraged, Alex ended the call and repeatedly tried to contact me, but his efforts were met with silence.


"Isabel, had I known you were this kind of person, I would have rejected your marriage proposal, even if you had begged!"


I heard his angry outburst, but my heart had long since grown cold. If he had been honest from the start, I would never have sold my mother's house before our wedding to help him build his network.


Left with no choice, Alex reluctantly headed back to the hospital. Meanwhile, Leona feigned concern, and the kindergarten teacher requested leave to accompany her daughter and Alex to the hospital.
