"And… did you tell her about what play we will be having?"
Victor smirked. "No."
This time, all four of them turned wide-eyed.
"No? Why?" Rowan asked.
"After all, the plan for this year is an audition among the group. Not that the rest were aware. But because I had decided to put her in, I decided to give our team some edge."
A glint passed by his eyes, "Then we will see just what kind of monster she could be."
Lawrence blinked. He rarely saw such a glint in Victor's eyes.
Before he chuckled.
"Well, if that's what you want. We will just watch beside you then."
"But she could just ask around once she realizes that she is unaware of what show we are going to do," Renee commented.
Victor looked at her and smirked, "Well, if she does, then that's just how far her capability could go."
Lawrence studied the look Victor had. He could tell that what Victor wanted to see from Beatrice was something more.
"You are a demon," he couldn't help but say.
"That's not a nice thing to say to your senior," Victor locked his arm around Lawrence's neck.
"Aw, aw… give up… give up…"
The two played around.
The other three shrugged. He was the one overseeing their performers, so they would leave it to him.
Meanwhile, Beatrice was rereading all the notes she had written about all the shows she watched over the past weeks.
She was well aware of the reason why he did not tell her what show they were going to do.
And she had no plans of asking around.
A smile appeared on her lips as her eyes brightened.
It was a complete contrast to her back when she was about to graduate from high school.
"Why am I enjoying this challenge?" she wondered upon noticing her look in the small mirror on her table.
She was smiling widely while her eyes were filled with vigor.
She chuckled, "Well, whatever. I will make sure I will shock them all."
She thought of something before messaging the other two ladies.
"Guys, can you message me with, 'You can do it'?"
Kathrine had just stepped out of her class when she received her message.
She chuckled. She could tell that Beatrice had been in a better mood compared to their last talk when she was kicked out of the acting group she was in.
"You can do it. Fighting."
She even sent multiple emojis of encouragement.
"You can do it."
As simple as always, Harmony only sent those words, but oddly enough, Beatrice could feel the same encouragement as Kathrine's words.
Her smile widened before she continued studying to prepare for the show she would audition for.
The day arrived, and murmurs spread among those in the group when they heard that Beatrice would be there as well.
Samantha made sure that when she gossiped about Beatrice, it was not only her group that would know of her incompetence but the rest of the people as well.
Even members of ED heard of it.
They were currently wondering why she was allowed to audition if she had been kicked out of another group and that there were rumors she couldn't even properly act.
"Such a disadvantage," Renee couldn't help but comment.
First, Beatrice did not know what show she was auditioning for. Though not one hundred percent sure if it was true, they had not heard about her asking what show it would be. They simply decided to give her the benefit of the doubt that she did not ask for the sake of her real audition in Victor's eyes.
Coming in and shocking them with her acting.
Second, because everyone was looking down on her. This would give her more pressure than usual, especially since it was an audition in front of the rest of the group.
"Wouldn't that make her even more impressive? She will be hitting two birds with one stone if she performs well," Rowan replied.
"She will be able to enter ED, and she will shut all those people up."
Renee shrugged.
She was not against it because she had seen the determination of that first-year. Someone as hardworking as that? She really could not believe why Samantha was acting the way she was toward this person.
Soon, Beatrice arrived, walking with her head held high and back straight.
"Confident," Julian whistled, watching her walk in.
Not cowering from the scrutinizing eyes of all those preparing for the audition.
A bit later, Victor stepped out with coupon bonds in his hands, together with other students who were also carrying some.
"As most of you may know, the show we will be having for the year-end performance is Medea."
He glanced at Beatrice, who slightly raised her eyebrow but did not show any shock.
Victor had on an imperceptible smile.
"Anyway, we will be giving you the parts you will perform on this day."
He started handing them out to those interested in a role. They had already been asked beforehand. And somehow, only one person wished to play Medea within ED.
Clara Bellamy, one of the principal cast members in every play of ED, a third-year student.
She specialized in strong emotional performances.
Though another principal cast, Ivy Reeves, a fourth-year who was famous for her portrayals of tragic heroines, could have chosen it as well, she felt that the emotion would be more intense than what she had been portraying all along.
She decided this was not the character for her.
Something Victor shook his head about, as he wanted to see everyone challenging themselves as much as they could.
"I suppose you will go up against Miss Falcon for this role."
Clara blinked, not expecting Beatrice to be her opponent.
