The Terror among Generals

Just like before, the soldiers were in a frenzy as they prepared for the arrival of another important individual. This individual was known as the Terror among Generals, commonly called The Terror.

After the Supreme General left the military base, some of the entourage he had left behind attended to Zain, as Zain's location was going to change. From a clear observation, the military base was no training ground; hence, Zain couldn't be efficiently trained here. That said, Lady Kara had done a great job molding his body.

Zain was now dressed in a military uniform that had no rank on it. However, he was not standing with the soldiers but rather beside the other generals who were present: General Garry and General Kara (who preferred not to be addressed as General).

The two generals' faces were somber, with a hint of worry in their eyes as they stood there in the courtyard. A gust of wind swept past them, making them momentarily close their eyes. Then, a chopping noise could be heard, clearly outlining what it was—a chopper, or so it seemed.

A black chopper landed in the courtyard, undoing all the preparations the soldiers had made. When it finally landed, a giant of a man stepped out of the back of the chopper.

He had black hair with a few strands of gray, a strikingly muscular face, and eyes that burned with intense bloodlust. Yet his movements were very elegant. His physique resembled General Garry's and he even looked about the same age.

As the man walked closer, he glanced at several people and things.

"Barry, are you insane? How could you land here with a helicopter!" Lady Kara exclaimed.

"It's a chopper... and so what if I did?"

Lady Kara shrugged, then paid Zain a sideways glance before answering, "Ha! One of my pupils just happens to be in the SS rank. So I'll just send him."

Barry stood a few steps away from the two generals and the young boy, grinning madly.

"Shall we take that into consideration then?"

In a split second, Barry punched Zain in the stomach, sending him crashing into a couple of trees.

"What the hell is..."

A moment later, Zain received a kick in the chest. He felt like his rib cage almost shattered. Zain spat out blood.

"Shit! He's using his full force."

Barry was swift and powerful. He delivered another powerful kick to the chest, but this time Zain covered it with his arms—which turned out to be a bad mistake.

The impact of the blow temporarily numbed his arms, making them non-functional. Despite that, the blow still sent him rolling into a couple of trees.

"Wow! This kid is an SS rank... well, almost. Time to end this."

As Zain sat at the side of the tree he had just crashed into, Barry came at him with terrifying speed. But just before Barry could punch Zain's face, he was brought to the ground.

A bit startled, Zain looked to see who—or what—had just taken the madman down. When the cloud of dust finally settled, holding Barry's neck was General Garry.

General Garry had one knee on the ground while the other supported his posture as he gripped Barry's neck. Barry was on the ground, his combat suit now a bit dusty.

"Don't you think you should start the training when you reach the training area?" General Garry asked.

"Sure, I just wanted to make sure." Barry grinned.

"You know, sometimes you should behave like the general you are!" Lady Kara shouted.

Zain still couldn't get over the fact that Barry was actually a General. How could someone as savage as him lead a group of rankers? After the beating he had taken a few minutes ago, he was now being healed by one of the rankers among the soldiers.

"Well, it's time to go, kid," Barry said.

Zain stared at General Barry and sighed.

"Yes, sir."

As he walked toward the chopper, Kara walked beside him and whispered, "Just don't upset him too much. He's known to kill his students."

Zain was stunned by what she had just said.

Upset him? Why would I upset an S rank... and of all people, that madman?

Zain sighed.

"Understood."
