"Now step into the obsidian stone slab" after inputting his information, the lady with purple glasses pointed to the stone slab to the left and Guilliman wasted no time to climb ontop of it.
"Black obsidian" Guiliman mused watching the holographic computation begin.
He could remember when he was younger, his father from his old world had taken him to a medical center to get his vitals checked. It was the same obsidian stone used then that was being used here.
Of course this one had been modified to find out more about the body and it's latent state.

The display showed an error as it soon began to glitch uncontrollably infront of everyone.
"Hmm, old tech" the lady with purple glasses sneered in annoyance before raising a black stone in her hand and pointing it in the direction of the obsidian stone slab .
Just like clock work the error stopped and the display screen stabilized.

Collating potential...

"Hmmm, that sounds about right" the lady with purple glasses looked at Guillimans stats and nodded her head. With a poor on physical strength potential? He was definitely not cut out to be a slayer.
"Anyway, I am obligated by shelter rules to let you know that E tier slayer candidates typically don't make it past the second testing stage, it is adviced you quit here so as not to risk your life for nothing" she looked seriously at Guilliman and explained to him.
E tier slayer candidates were the worst of the worst, when it came to talent, they usually couldn't even survive a single hunt as such warnings like these were part of shelter policy.
"I understand," Guilliman looked at the stats and smiled, the errror just now seemed to be because the obsidian stone couldn't accurately read his soul…that meant he still had 'it'
"I still wish to continue" nodding his head firmly Guilliman said.
He understood the dangers, but he knew what laid infront of him was mich more scarier than death.
"Sigh, the lady shook her head and pointed somewhere else"
She was not allowed to try and convince him a second time as the shelter currently had needs for slayers despite the tier. She could only watch this kid walk to his death.
"Place your hand on the mana crystal" reluctantly she pointed to a transparent crystal on her desk and told Guilliman to place his hand on it.
Guilliman saw this and proceeded to do just like the others had done.
[ scanning for mana affinity... ]
As he did so, a magnificent glow shone from within the crystal illuminating the room slightly as it checked Guillimans Affinity
Mana was a very crucial part of being a Slayer, it determined the kinds of skills that would work well with the slayer and the class they should focus on getting.
For example….
A Slayer with a strong affinity to the earth element would most likely do very well with as a Knight class or a Shield bearing.
Their ability to use earth mana would massively boost their defenses and health.
Meanwhile someone with a high Wind affinity would most likely be suited for the scout class or even the assassin class.
Ones affinity decided their future, just as much as their Tier did.

The display appeared causing the lady with purple glasses to squint her brows. A fair Arcane affinity was the only thing this kid had going for him.
"If you can get through the second stage and become a slayer then I'd advice you to go to the shelters unique workshop to see if they can use this arcane affinity for something good" she advised.
This kind of affinity was not cut out for battle, but there were other unique professions he could pursue with an Arcane affinity…at least he wouldn't be risking his life 24/7
"Thank you for the advice" Guilliman bowed slightly seeing the lady actually had good intentions. She just didn't want to see him die, but his path was that of the strong.
But he would definitely investigate this Arcane Affinty when he was done with the Slayer test.
"Good, now go to the back and wait for the next stage" seeing Guillimans polite bow she smiled and sent him to the back room where the others had gone.
If the kid could survive the test and become a slayer then maybe with this his arcane affinity he could make a good living for himself.
…
"Is that the last of you?" Behind the slayer test block, a lady with bronze colored hair asked scanning through a group of young men and women.
"Yes, Madam Slayer" a young girl with sharp eyes and a sword on her side said looking calmly at the lady with bronze hair.
On first glance she could tell this person was no ordinary person, the way she carried herself, her aura and the sharpness in her eye. This was definitely a slayer, a high ranking one at that.
"Okay behind me is a rack of grade 1 daggers, these are of much higher quality than what you can get in your local weapon stores, they will be your primary weapon" the lady with bronze hair explained
The average weapon was weak when used against monsters, what could really harm them were special Slayer grade Weapons.
"Hand them over" she commanded and her assistant, a young man with sunken eyes walked forward with a basket of daggers and handed them over to the over 36 participants.
The next stage of the Slayer test was to test their resolve in battle and see if they could actually become slayers
Yes, that's right.
They were going to hunt monsters.
