"I'll become a successful businesswoman," I announced. Elizabeth grinned, saying I'd leave my imprint on the world.

As I descended the stairs, I noticed Keith's door slightly open. I knew he understood our relationship was over. Avoiding each other was the best farewell.

On my final evening, I purchased local delicacies as presents for my French coworkers. While returning to the hotel, a vehicle raced towards me at alarming speed. I clearly saw the driver—it was Sadie!

The bright lights blinded me, and my legs felt heavy, unable to move. Just as the van was about to strike, a strong force pushed me aside.

Turning back, I saw a familiar shape soaring through the air, landing harshly on the ground. The van crashed into a nearby tree.

My heart ached as I rushed over. "Keith, why so reckless? Are you alright? We need to get you to the hospital immediately!"
