CHAPTER 8.

P2 DEPARTMENT.

George has barely slept for the past 7 days. His face looks very different than it usually does.

He looks very tired.

He looks so tired that he looks like someone who has been staring at the wall for 20 years straight.

One of his contact persons is coming back from vacation today. And he intends to ask him if he can help him find his cousin Jacob.

He so wants to see him and, not least, he wants to have peace of mind again, just like when he started his evening medicine.

Then comes his contact person.

And when he saw George, his body language changed to both shocked and concerned.

Because George looks so different than he usually does.

Then the contact person becomes skeptically curious and asks George some questions.

: Hey George!

Are you feeling well?

Did you remember to take your medicine? Do you get anything to eat?

Are you getting any sleep?

And then George interrupts.

: Can you help me find cousin Jacob? Please?

I so want to see him!

Then the contact person answers.

: Yes of course. Are you feeling well?

Then George answers.

: No! Let's find Cousin Jacob! Please?

Then the contact person starts calling around to look for his cousin Jacob.

And about an hour later and after he has called around. He then tells George that he couldn't find his cousin Jacob today.

The contact person's work day is about over at George for today.

And then the contact person says

: I couldn't find your cousin today! But we can try it again next time I come! OK? I have to go now! Because I'm going to another citizen!

Then George answers

: Okay!

George doesn't want to be home alone. Because Sara won't leave him alone. And when they had to say goodbye to each other in the living room.

George feels like he's starting again, hearing the shaking of the kitchen cupboard door opening and closing itself quickly where the coffee is.

Then George takes hold of the contact person

so he looks like he's giving him a hug.

And George says

: Please don't leave me here!

Don't leave me alone with her!

She's coming for me!

I don't want to be eaten!

Then the contact person is shocked and becomes even more skeptical.

And asks George

: Who's coming after you? Has someone been mean to you?

Then George answers

: The scary ghost lady from dream! She won't leave me alone!

Please don't go!

Then it dawns on contact person, that something is very wrong with George today.

And then he says

: I can call psychiatry and get you admitted if you need it!

: Can you do that? Yes please! I haven't really slept in the last several days!

The contact person barely finished saying the admission proposal.

When George agrees.

And then he calls psychiatry and gets George admitted.

In the psychiatric ward, the psychiatrist examines him more closely and tries to find out what is wrong with him.

By asking him some questions.

So says the psychiatrist

: George! Your contact says you dream of a ghost lady and she wants to eat you! Can you tell me a little about her?

So tells George

: It's a creepy lady who comes in the dream! And she runs after me and tries to hit me!

Then the psychiatrist asks

: Is this a lady you know?

Although George wanted to say yes,

he says no instead.

To pass over the whole truth.

Mostly to protect his cousin Jacob.

Then the psychiatrist continues

: Sometimes you have nightmares.

And it passes again!

Then George interrupts

: No, not her! Not so long that she doesn't rest in peace!

Then the psychiatrist asks

: Can you tell me a little more about the creepy lady from the dream?

So tells George

: Sometimes she's in a little box and screams! And when she's not in the box she runs after me and tries to hit me with her leg!

Then the psychiatrist asks

: Don't you mean she's trying to kick you with her legs?

So says George

: No no not like that! She is holding her separate half legs in her hands!

And she tries to hit me with one leg! And throws at me with the other leg! And it hurts the ears when she screams!

Then the psychiatrist continues

: Okay! Does she speak in words you understand?

Then George answers

: Yes! She says she won't leave me alone until she rests in peace!

Then the psychiatrist asks

: What does she mean by rest in peace?

Does she also say something else?

: No!

Although George wanted to say yes.

He says no again instead.

Then the psychiatrist concludes

: Okay! You will be admitted here in the next few days! So we can observe you! And don't worry! A nurse is sitting there night shift at the open door to your room and she looks after you! And she can calm you down when you wake up the nightmare!

OK?

Then George answers

: Okay!

THE FIRST NIGHT IN THE P2

DEPARTMENT

After he takes his evening medicine. As the nurse brought.

And after a while George goes to bed.

And the nurse sets up a chair in the middle of the doorway and sits down

So George sleeps behind her. And George lies in bed to sleep.

The nurse sits and reads a book and at the same time keeps an eye on George and looks at him once in a while to check if everything is as it should be.

George begins to fall asleep and wakes alternately. He feels safer tonight because the nurse will be here tonight.

And then he gets thirsty and gets out of bed to get something to drink.

He can hear the nurse humming very low, so low that you can hardly hear her. She is sitting and reading a book.

When he was about to ask her if it was ok for him to get a glass of water.

Then it dawns on him that no words can come out of his mouth.

Then he looks at the sitting nurse from behind.

And then her right leg overturns to the right side and smear the floor with a little dark liquid at the end of the leg.

Then the nurse stops humming. And he can see her exhalation,

in her breathing in the air, just as one sees an exhalation in the cold winter atmosphere outside.

Then it dawns on him that something is completely wrong. And it's half-rotten Sara sitting in the chair and she's dressed like a nurse tonight.

Then she drops the book so it falls to the floor. And then she jumps down from the chair instead of standing up like a small child jumping off the chair. Because she is shorter, because of her sawed off legs. And then she turns to George and starts scolding him while pointing at him and swinging her index finger back and forth in the air.

And says

: Do you really think you can get away just because there are people around you? No medicine is strong enough to remove me! And regardless of how many doctors there are present, I will not leave you alone! You can only stop the horror by that report your cousin Jacob! And the truth will shine, no matter how much you trying to avoid me!

Is that understood?

While she is in the process of scolding him with her pointing index finger.

And he can see that the nail of the index finger hangs and tilts when she swings it forward.

And so he struggles to say something to Sara, but barely enough sound comes out of his mouth

: I can't! Please Sara! let me be!

Sara, please, stop!

And then Sara answers

: It's up to you! You can only stop me by reporting him! Your choice!

Then George wakes up in a sweat! And he can see the nurse trying to calm him down.

And George starts yelling

: Why? Cousin Jacob! why?

And then he starts to cry...
