Ch 93. Curiosity x Kurama's Nature

Katsuya glanced at the displeased Tsunade and offered a calm suggestion."Master Tsunade, we've been treated with the highest respect and hospitality here. When that building is complete, you can simply request a new suite there. I'm sure they'll give you the best one again."

Kurama, lounging on the couch nearby, gave a slight nod in agreement."Yeah. These ninjas and even the Daimyo don't seem to bear any hostility toward you. At first, sure, we sensed some strange stares, but it's like before: not threatening, just… watchful. However, here, it feels even more casual. Most of those glances come in public places."

He paused, then added with a mildly annoyed tone, "Apparently it's because of something called cameras. There are signal towers that let people observe others from afar with the help of cameras and transmit the images between them. Don't ask me how it works, you wouldn't understand it even if I explained."

Tsunade didn't bristle at the jab. She simply crossed her arms, leaning against the window frame as she looked outside.

"How do you even do that?" she muttered. "Keeping your sensing abilities running actively like that all the time… as if it's nothing? Actively scanning for malice alone tires me out. If I had your ability, I'd probably pay attention to everything too, know what's going on outside without even moving."

Then she turned her gaze to Katsuya with a hint of suspicion."Katsuya. How do you know all of this? Don't tell me you've been sending your clones out across the capital to gather intel?"

At her words, both Kurama and Katsuya stared at her in a strange silence, then exchanged a knowing glance.

Kurama was the first to respond, giving her a half-lidded look."Your second grandfather created the Shadow Clone Jutsu, didn't he? With his insane chakra reserves and the ability to divide his spiritual energy through clones… don't you think he could have mastered all chakra natures if he really wanted to? The chakra and spiritual feedback from multiple clones would've accelerated his learning by a ridiculous amount."

Tsunade blinked, caught off guard."My grandfather? He spent more time inventing forbidden jutsu than learning every element. Besides, it's much more practical to focus on perfecting one nature transformation."

Kurama raised a brow."Maybe. But you could try now that you're basically my jinchūriki. Making hundreds of shadow clones wouldn't even dent your reserves. My chakra has both massive yin and yang attributes, it comes from my spirit and body, a natural gift, plus honed over the years of living as an immortal being, I guess. And while I don't have a unique elemental transformation like some of the others, I can express yin and yang chakra in ways they can't."

He leaned back with a confident smirk."That's why my jinchūriki gains stronger regeneration than any others and can live without eating, sustaining their body with just my chakra. And thanks to my yin-based spiritual power, your shadow clones won't just exist longer, they'll be more stable, more useful. The spiritual burden that usually limits their number! My own yin/spirit part of the chakra will support the existence of the shadow clones, while your spiritual strength will be responsible for passing back and collecting the information, of course controlling the clone, with my mastery of yin and yang nature type my chakra seamlessly assists those who are connected to my chakra even without them realizing, such as Jinchurikki and you Tsunade! Or those whom I pass my chakra to."

Tsunade narrowed her eyes, not out of anger, but thoughtful curiosity. She remained quiet for a moment, staring back out over the cityscape as the rising tower continued to inch skyward, and said excitedly, "That means I can exploit the shadow clone technique to research and master ninjutsu!"
