Jaxon nodded firmly before turning to address Westley. "Ensure Cassia's well-being tonight, Westley."

"Rest assured," Westley responded confidently, his voice unwavering.

However, Amara and her companions were determined to stay. The venue's efficient security team promptly arrived to remove them. Even Gabriel, still carrying Briar, was directed to leave.

As he departed, Gabriel cast a glance back at me, his eyes conveying an emotion I struggled to interpret. Before I could ponder it further, Westley leaned in, his playful tone cutting through the tension. "I'm right here, yet you're looking at another man? Aren't you concerned I might become envious?"

Soon after, I retreated to my room.

A doctor paid a brief visit, confirmed my well-being, and left without further comment.
