"Draven's father placed his hand on Draven's head. 'If you haven't seen one,' he began, 'it doesn't mean they're no longer alive.'
Draven looked at his father. 'Have you ever seen one?'
Draven's father smiled. 'I guess you could say that.'
Draven thought, Has the old man really seen a drongo?
Alex interjected, 'Hey Draven, since you can't use Mana, why don't you give your big sis the spirit egg?'
Draven smirked. 'Keep dreaming.'
Ivan, Draven's uncle, maintained his smile outwardly, but inwardly he thought, Mixed blood bastard. Since you can't use Mana, I'm going to get back my spirit egg sooner or later.
Draven looked at Ivan, his smile unwavering. Why the fuck is this bastard still smiling? His smile gives me goosebumps. He Thought
Alex said, 'Why wouldn't you? Since you can't hatched it anyway.'
Draven replied, 'Why don't you hatched it then give it back to me?'
Alex shook her head. 'That's not possible. If I hatched it, the beast will only recognize me.'
Draven shrugged. 'So what will be the point of me giving it to you then?'
Alex suggested, 'Why don't you give it to me, and I will give you a beast egg?'
Draven declined. 'I'm not interested. I'm keeping it.'
Draven's father spoke. 'Son, are you going to keep it? You can't hatched it, so keeping it isn't going to change anything.'
Draven nodded. 'I know that, but it's a gift from Uncle Ivan, and I don't want to give it away.'
Draven thought to himself, I'm keeping it. I'm interested to see what's going to hatched from it.
Draven's father said, 'If you want to keep it, it's okay. It's yours anyway.'
Draven looked at Alex, she said, 'It's yours so you can keep it.'
Draven smiled outwardly, but inwardly he thought, Of course, I was going to keep it.
