Under the soft glow of the full moon, Hannah, holding her bow, stood in a shooting stance, ready to fire. Draven, nearby, watched intently, his red eyes glowing. Hannah pulled the bowstring, and a green arrow made of Mana materialized.
She shot the arrow, aiming at a tree far in the distance. The arrow tore through the air, piercing the tree, and continued its trajectory, piercing through multiple trees beyond.
Draven, his red eyes gleaming, thought, So this is how it works. By drawing the bow, you observe the nearby Mana, condensing it into an arrow. So I can use it without using Mana. Hell yeah.
Hannah, still expressionless, looked at Draven. He thought, I guess it's my turn. Draven raised his bow and assumed a shooting stance. He drew the bowstring, and an arrow made of Mana appeared. As he was about to shoot, Hannah placed her hand on his shoulder, stopping him. He turned his head, and Hannah shook her head sideways.
"What? Am I not doing it right?" Draven asked. Hannah nodded. She doesn't speak, but I think I can still understand what she's trying to say, Draven thought.
Hannah walked in front of Draven and assumed a shooting stance. Draven looked at her. "I'm supposed to do it like this?" he asked, mimicking her stance. "Like this, right?" Hannah nodded.
Draven drew the bow, and the Mana arrow appeared. He shot the arrow, aiming at the same tree Hannah had targeted. The arrow tore through the air and pierced the tree, but didn't continue through multiple trees as Hannah's had. Draven watched as the arrow slowly dissipated. So, after a while, the arrow disappears. I didn't see it disappear when she shot it because it went so far away, he thought.
Draven turned to Hannah. "It looks like I have to keep practicing," he said. Hannah nodded. Draven drew his bow, and the arrow appeared. He continued practicing.
A while later, Draven, slightly sweaty, was still practicing. The tree was riddled with holes from his practice shots. He shot an arrow that pierced through the tree and lodged into the tree behind it. The damaged tree couldn't withstand the force and fell.
Draven smiled and turned to Hannah. "I'm getting good at it. You're a good teacher," he said. Hannah smiled.
