When Smiles Turn Deadly

Draven looked at Hannah's smiling face and thought, "I never thought she could smile." He said, "It turns out you can also smile."

Hearing Draven say that, Hannah blushed. Draven thought, "She never showed any emotion, I was starting to think she might be emotionless." He looked at Hannah and said, "You should smile more, you look good when you smile."

Hannah's face turned red, and she quickly looked down to hide it. Draven, seeing Hannah blushing, thought, "She can also be shy. Not as emotionless as I thought." He said, "Hey."

Hannah raised her face, looking at Draven. He continued, "We should probably head back. I've already learned the basics of wielding a bow. As long as I keep practicing, I will get better at it."

Hannah, still holding her bow, nodded and began pouring Mana into it. The bow transformed back into a bracelet. Draven looked at his hand, still wearing his black glove and holding his own bow, and thought, "Fuck, that's really convenient. I would really like to do that as well, but if I do, the easy life I plan to live wouldn't be that much easy."

They walked through the garden. Draven, still holding his bow, looked at Hannah and thought, "We've been walking in silence since earlier. Is she not really able to speak, or does she not want to speak?" He looked at Hannah and said, "Hey, I wonder, are you unable to speak, or do you just not want to speak?"

Hannah, with no emotion on her face, looked at Draven. He said, "It's okay if you don't want to talk about it. I also wonder how old are you?" Draven started smiling. "If I'm older than you, you've to show respect by addressing me as big bro from now on."

Hannah looked at Draven's still smiling face, her expression unchanged. A dim light shone. Draven, still smiling, turned to her, saying, "Right, if I'm older than you—" He stopped mid-sentence because Hannah was holding her bow, with an arrow made of Mana pointed directly at his face.

Draven started smiling nervously, sweat pouring from his face. "Kid, why don't you calm down and let's talk," he said.

Hannah, hearing Draven call her a kid, shifted the bow closer to his face.

Draven thought, "Damn, I said my thoughts out loud."
