Chapter 139 ⟴ The Unknowing Haruno

The Yukinoshita family mansion.

Nine strands of black and white Spiritual Power swirled around the ancestral hall. Their intimidating aura caused monsters in the vicinity to retreat.

After a busy day, Yukino finally sat down comfortably.

"How did Daiki-kun rise from being just a Special Grade Sorcerer to becoming the Jujutsu Inspector General who controls the entire Jujutsu World? And now other Sorcerers call him the strongest in Jujutsu history!"

Despite being around the same age, the gap between them had become unbridgeable.

The unanimously acknowledged strongest Jujutsu Sorcerer in history!

Whether Devil Hunters or Sorcerers, all who met him showed utmost respect, not daring to step out of line.

Such reverence was something Yukino had never witnessed before.

When the then-powerful Matsushita Group had targeted the Yukinoshita family, her sister Haruno had offered nearly half their assets but couldn't find any help.

Not even regular Grade 3 Sorcerers would deign to meet her family, let alone the Grade 1 pillars of the Jujutsu World.

But now? Simply by association with Daiki's name, the Yukinoshita family had become incredibly prominent.

While Yukino was happy about her family's prosperity, she felt guilty that what they received far exceeded what they had given. Against the family's flourishing success, her own contribution seemed worthless.

"But how can I thank Daiki-kun? With his abilities and status, he could obtain anything the Yukinoshita family might offer with just a wave of his finger."

Her face reddened as she thought about it — the only thing she could offer was herself, if he would even be interested.

But even that seemed inadequate compared to the benefits her family had received — it might even anger him.

"Should I do like last time, together with the others..." Yukino's face burned hot.

Who would have thought that Sōbu High's Ice Queen would have such improper thoughts?

After much hesitation, she finally sent him a message.

| Yukino Yukinoshita — Me |

| Daiki-kun, are you free? Because of your promotion to Inspector General, our family has received many benefits, and I... I want to thank you. |

After closing her phone screen, Yukino's heart raced as if it would burst from her chest as she anxiously awaited his reply.

At that moment, Daiki was admiring the footprints on the window glass, the delicate toes captivating his attention.

"My, my, could it be that Daiki-kun has an interest in my feet?" Looking at his expression, Haruno felt a surge of pride.

She who had never held the upper hand finally saw a glimmer of hope. Her teasing tone seemed to bridge the distance between them.

Daiki didn't answer but raised his hand to cover her swaying foot. As his fingers applied slight pressure, Haruno gently furrowed her brows.

Just then, his phone screen suddenly lit up.

The well-behaved woman paid little attention, instead using her formidable feet to completely surround Big Daiki and began doing what she does best.

Daiki's eyes swept across the screen, noticing Yukino's message, and he couldn't help saying, "We might have guests coming later."

Hearing this, Haruno narrowed her cunning eyes, Ichika's face immediately appearing in her mind — just a defeated opponent.

"No problem, they can come anytime." she replied, eagerly encouraging it.

Then Daiki instantly teleported away, arriving at the Yukinoshita residence.

The moment he materialized, Yukino was nowhere in sight.

Instead, Mrs. Yukinoshita sat in the courtyard, enjoying the cool breeze.

"Daiki-kun?" she exclaimed, startled by his sudden appearance.

"I see my name still carries some weight?" he remarked with a hint of amusement after his brief surprise.

Mrs. Yukinoshita's face filled with anxiety as she hastily explained, "Daiki-kun, we never intended to exploit your name — it was merely mentioned in passing. We only learned of it afterward, and I assumed Haruno had informed you, which is why I didn't report it directly. We weren't trying to conceal anything."

She grew flustered, believing he had come to interrogate them.

She had assumed Haruno's urgent departure was to report to him. Could her daughter have had other business instead?

The thought made Mrs. Yukinoshita break into a cold sweat.

"I'm not here for questioning." Seeing the usually dignified mature woman in such distress amused Daiki, though he refrained from teasing her further.

Upon hearing this wasn't an interrogation, Mrs. Yukinoshita visibly relaxed.

"Then what brings Daiki-kun here?"

"The Yukinoshita family has reaped many benefits — shouldn't Madam show her gratitude?" Daiki grasped her fair wrist, drew her close, and began to caress her delicate back beneath her clothes.

Mrs. Yukinoshita's face flushed as comprehension dawned, "You have Haruno, but if Daiki-kun doesn't mind, I could also..."

Satisfied with her response, he activated his Phantom Sight and summoned Yukino as well.

When they returned, Haruno was momentarily stunned to see two people.

How had another person suddenly appeared?

She didn't dwell on it though, assuming it was Nino or someone else. Mrs. Yukinoshita and Yukino remained shy but unquestioning.

Thus, Big Daiki experienced his first time being "appreciated".

While Haruno's reaction was notable, what proved truly shocking was Yotsuba's return.

Could someone explain what was happening? Wasn't this game's difficulty increasing too rapidly?

She hadn't even experienced easy mode before jumping straight to hell mode!

She had merely gone to change clothes, and upon returning, instead of footprints, she witnessed a landscape of people bowing down.

Three adorable divine beasts caught Yotsuba's eye, leaving their marks on the window glass as they slid down along it.

Yotsuba hit her head to check if she was seeing things, but this was no illusion.

Sensing movement, Haruno startled and turned to find Yotsuba at the window, frozen like a statue.

Her beautiful eyes shifted slightly as she gave Daiki a look, then she put on her clothes and walked to the car.

"So it's Miss Miku. I apologize that you had to witness such an ungraceful scene." Haruno said while gently fixing her hair and gazing at the bright moon.

{T/N: Yotsuba is with Miku's clothes now.}

Yotsuba stood utterly shocked — was being ungraceful really the issue here?

She looked at Yukino and her doppelganger inside the window, then stared at Haruno in disbelief — Miku couldn't possibly compete with this!

Her mind seemed to stop working; she had thought two Mikus was outrageous, but now she realized her thinking had been too limited.

Haruno was slightly puzzled — logically, Miku should have shown anger, but she displayed more disbelief instead.

'Wait... this person might not be Miku?' She studied her carefully and suddenly discovered something interesting.

The "Miku" before her might be someone else in disguise.

At this thought, Haruno's lips curled into a smile as she glanced at the unclear figures of the Yukinoshita pair, and a plan formed in her mind.

'If I help reunite the sisters, will Daiki-kun reward me?' The unknowing Haruno still thought those two other "participants" were Ichika and Nino.

Her fox-like cunning smile made people even more worried and afraid.
